摘要: A mixing and extrusion machine (10) for the manufacture of rubber mixtures includes a mixer with a converging conical twin-screw (12) with a fixed frame (14) that supports sleeves (16). Two screws (18), being mounted at an angle, are mounted in the mixer (12) in such a way as to move in translational movement between an opening (22) arranged upstream and an outlet (25) arranged downstream of the sleeves. The screws are mounted in the sleeves with removable doors including sliding shutters (40) installed relative to the outlet (25). The sliding shutters move linearly between a closed position, in which the sliding shutters prevent the mixer from discharging the mixture, and an open position, in which the sliding shutters prevent discharge of the mixture through the sides of two counter-rotating rollers (32) of a roller nose type system located just downstream of the outlet.

摘要: A method for making a nanocomposite material includes introducing a polymeric material and a nanofiller material into a conical twin-screw extruder. The extruder is adapted to impart substantially gentle shearing of the polymeric material and the nanofiller material, thereby forming the nanocomposite material. The nanofiller material is dispersible within the polymeric material substantially without the use of an external compatibilizing material. The use of the conical twin-screw extruder substantially eliminates the need to use an external compatibilizer to produce a nanocomposite material having enhanced properties (e.g. physical properties, mechanical properties, etc.).

摘要: A polyethylene blend composition suitable for film applications comprising from 10 to 100 percent by weight of an ethylene-based polymer made by the process of: selecting an ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer (LLDPE) having a Comonomer Distribution Constant (CDC) in the range of from 75 to 300, a vinyl unsaturation of less than 150 vinyls per one million carbon atoms of the ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer; a zero shear viscosity ratio (ZSVR) in the range from 4 to 50; a density in the range of from 0.925 to 0.950 g/cm3, a melt index (I2) in a range of from 0.1 to 2.5 g/10 minutes, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) in the range of from 1.8 to 4.0; reacting said ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer with an alkoxy amine derivative in an amount equal to or less than 900 parts derivative per million parts by weight of total ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer under conditions sufficient to increase the melt strength of the ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer is provided.

摘要: An ultralow-gloss polycarbonate/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (PC/ABS) resin composition and a preparation method thereof are provided. The composition includes the following components: 40-80 parts by weight of bisphenol A polycarbonate, 19-40 parts by weight of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene graft copolymer, 1-20 parts by weight of ultralow-gloss toughening modifier, and 0.1-5 parts of processing aid. The ultralow-gloss toughening modifier includes the following components: post-treated polymeric microspheres, a low-temperature toughening agent, a coupling agent, and aid. The preparation method of the composition includes: fully mixing all components in a high-speed mixer to obtain a mixture; feeding the mixture into a main feed port from a twin-screw extruder, melting, extruding, cooling, drying, and pelletizing. The PC/ABS resin composition prepared by the present invention has extremely low gloss level and excellent impact toughness, and it can be applied in scenarios requiring low temperature resistance and low gloss level.

A working fluid inflow valve opens or closes a flow passage through which the working fluid is to pass to flow into the dissolving unit from the production unit. A mixer inflow valve opens or closes a flow passage through which the working fluid and the material are to pass to flow into the mixer from the dissolving unit.
