Abstract: An aerosol including an active material powder, a binder, and a gas is prepared. An electric field is formed between a substrate and a porous electrode. The aerosol is electrically charged. The aerosol after the electrically charging is introduced into the electric field. The aerosol passes through the porous electrode and thereby the aerosol is introduced into the electric field. At the time of the aerosol passing through the porous electrode, the aerosol comes into contact with the porous electrode and thereby the aerosol is electrically charged. In the electric field, the aerosol after the electrically charging flies toward the substrate due to electrostatic force. The aerosol adheres to a surface of the substrate and thereby an active material layer is formed.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, a method of applying loose-fill insulation within a cavity is provided. The method includes blowing loose-fill insulation particles into a cavity of a structure to install the loose-fill insulation within the cavity and thereby insulate the structure. The method also includes applying water (e.g., water mist) to the loose-fill insulation particles so that a moisture content of the installed loose-fill insulation is between about 2% and 20%. The water aids in retaining the loose-fill insulation particles within the cavity without requiring the use of an enclosure member that encloses the cavity and the loose-fill insulation is substantially free of a water soluble adhesive material that adheres the loose-fill insulation particles together within the cavity.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for contamination prevention of vehicle cameras and sensors. An example vehicle includes an exterior, a camera along the exterior and including a lens, and a controller. The controller is to determine, based upon images captured by the camera, whether a contaminant is approaching the lens and identify a contaminant state upon determining the contaminant is approaching the lens. The example vehicle also includes a nozzle to spray washer fluid to prevent contamination of the lens responsive to the controller identifying that the contaminant is a liquid.

Abstract: Disclosed is an improvement of a bubble-type snowflake maker. The interior of a machine body of a main machine is provided with accommodating space for disposing a blower that is used to send out wind power towards an air outlet pipe and an air outlet; a pump transports bubble water to a bubble head along a flexible bubble water pipe; a tail end of the air outlet pipe is sleeved with a cloth sleeve extending outwardly, and the bubble head of the bubble water pipe is disposed in the air outlet pipe; the air outlet is outwardly connected to a spray pipe having an inner pipe, and the air outlet pipe and the cloth sleeve extend into the pipe; the inner diameter of the inner pipe of the spray pipe is greater than the outer diameter of the air outlet pipe; and an inner annular toothed edge radially extends inwardly along a tail end of the inner pipe of the spray pipe. Wind power generated by the blower is blown to the interior and exterior of the cloth sleeve through the air pipe and the air outlet separately, so that the bubble water exudes from a surface of the cloth sleeve to form bubbles, and the wind power is used to blow the bubbles to fly away, so as to form artificial snowflakes.
