    摘要: A method of maintaining a proper forbidden tracking area identifier (TAI) list is proposed. A UE receives a service area list comprising one or more allowed tracking areas. The service area list may be carried by a configuration update command. UE compares if any of the allowed tracking area having a matching TAI in the forbidden TAI list. Accordingly, UE removes any allowed tracking areas having a matching TAI from the forbidden TAI list. In one embodiment, UE sends a REGISTERATION REQUEST message to initiate a registration procedure. In response, UE receives a REGISTRATION ACCEPT message, which may also carry a service area list. UE may remove the allowed tracking area having a matching TAI from the forbidden TAI list. However, if UE is registered for emergency services, then UE shall not remove the allowed tracking area from the forbidden TAI list.

    摘要: A method to facilitate onboarding registration via an onboarding network (ON) that is a stand-alone non-public network (ON-SNPN) is proposed. A UE is preconfigured with default UE credentials for Onboarding. UE discovers and selects an ON-SNPN and registers to the ON-SNPN using default UE credentials. Both user plane (UP) and control plane (CP) provisioning procedure can be used to obtain the SNPN credentials from a subscriber owner (SO) via an ON-SNPN access connectivity. In accordance with one novel aspect, when UE sends a registration request for UE onboarding registration, the registration request comprises information for registration type (e.g., SNPN ONBOARDING), and UE supported provisioning procedure (e.g., CP, UP, or both). Upon successful registration, UE follows the supported provisioning procedure (i.e., CP or UP) decided by the ON-SNPN to obtain the SNPN credentials from the SO-SNPN via the ON-SNPN access connectivity to a Provisioning Server (PVS).

    摘要: A solution of supporting IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) call setup in a next generation system (5GS) is proposed. During a registration procedure, the network sends indications to a user equipment (UE) indicating whether IMS voice over PS session (VoPS) over 3GPP access and over non-3GPP access is supported or not. The indications comprise two independent indicators, one indicator for indicating whether IMS VoPS is supported over 3GPP access, and the other indicator for indicating whether IMS VoPS is supported over non-3GPP access. In one example, the two independent indicators are included in a 5GS network feature support information element (IE) carried by a registration accept message sent from the network during the registration procedure.

    摘要: Aspects of the disclosure can provide an apparatus and method for communicating with core network of a fifth generation system. The method includes transmitting, by a processing circuitry of a user equipment, a non-access stratum transport message to the core network to initiate a non-access stratum transport procedure with the core network, and receiving an indication message from the core network when a network function of the core network is unable to process the non-access stratum transport message, wherein the indication message includes at least one of a payload type, a cause value, and timer information. When the payload type of the indication message is a fifth generation system session management message, a short message service message or a long term evolution positioning protocol message, the processing circuitry of the user equipment performs at least one of: re-initiating a non-access stratum transport procedure based on timer information, aborting the non-access stratum transport procedure, and releasing a protocol data unit session.

    摘要: A method of enhanced handling of a Forbidden Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) list is proposed. When a UE tries to attach to a PLMN and receives an ATTACH Reject message having no integrity protection, it could be transmitted from a network entity trying to block the PLMN for providing service. Therefore, by introducing a temporary forbidden PLMN list and a timer T3247, UE can avoid adding the PLMN ID to the Forbidden PLMN list and avoid being blocked for network access. Instead, UE is only temporary refrained from selecting the PLMN ID and is able to retry for the network access after T3247 expiry. The temporary list together with T3247 mechanism thus gives UE more opportunity to try with the same PLMN ID at a different time and/or a different UE location, where the malicious blocking is no longer available.
