摘要: An electrical combination, a tool system, an electric motor, a battery pack, and operating and manufacturing methods. The tool may include a tool housing, a motor supported by the tool housing, the motor having a nominal outer diameter of up to about 80 millimeters (mm), the motor being operable to output at least about 2760 watts (W), and a tool terminal electrically connected to the motor; a battery pack including a pack housing defining a volume of the battery pack, the volume being up to about 5.2×106 cubic millimeters (mm3), battery cells supported by the pack housing, the battery cells being electrically connected and having a nominal voltage of up to about 80 volts (V), and a pack terminal electrically connectable to the tool terminal to transfer current between the battery pack and the tool; and a controller operable to control the transfer of current.

摘要: A power supply includes a core housing having a first housing portion and a second housing portion together forming a cavity. The first housing portion is separable from the second housing portion to access the cavity. A battery core includes a plurality of battery cells received within the cavity. The plurality of battery cells are divided into a first group of interconnected battery cells and a second group of battery interconnected cells. The battery core also includes a conductor mechanically and electrically connecting a first terminal of the first group of interconnected battery cells and a second terminal of the second group of interconnected battery cells thereby connecting the first group of interconnected battery cells in series with the second group of interconnected battery cells. The conductor is disconnected from the first terminal or the second terminal when the first housing portion is separated from the second housing portion.

摘要: An electric motor assembly includes a circuit board, a rotor assembly, and a stator assembly having a first end coupled to the circuit board and a second end opposite the first end. The stator assembly also includes an annular stator body having a plurality of inwardly projecting teeth. The stator assembly further includes windings wrapped about the stator body to form a plurality of coils. The stator assembly also includes a terminal coupled to an outer periphery of the stator body and extending longitudinally between the first end and the second end. The terminal is coupled to the circuit board at the first end and is coupled to the windings at the second end to electrically connect the windings to the circuit board. The terminal is molded to an attachment member, and the attachment member is molded to the outer periphery of the stator body.

Each mounting leg defines a threaded boss corresponding to a respective mounting aperture of the stator assembly, and each threaded boss is configured to receive a threaded fastener. The mounting legs are angularly spaced at unequal intervals about the motor axis.
