    摘要： Graft polymers are obtainable by free radical polymerization of(A) monomers or monomer mixtures comprising(a) from 1 to 100% by weight of N-vinylcarboxamides of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, (b) from 0 to 99% by weight of other monoethylenically unsaturated monomers copolymerizable with the monomers (a) and(c) from 0 to 5% by weight of monomers having at least two ethylenically unsaturated, nonconjugated double bonds in the molecule,in the presence of(B) polymers which contain units of vinyl esters of saturated C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -carboxylic acids and/or vinyl alcohol units, or of mixtures which contain these polymers and polymers having at least 3 alkylene oxide units or polytetrahydrofuran,in a weight ratio (A):(B) of from 95:5 to 10:90 and, if required, subsequent elimination of the group ##STR2## from the polymerized monomers (I) of the graft polymer with formation of units of the formula ##STR3## and the graft polymers described above are used in the production of paper, board and cardboard as dry and wet strength agents, as retention and drainage aids and as promoters in diketene sizing and as starch cationization agents, as dispersants for pigments and as creping assistants in the production of tissue papers.

    摘要： Aqueous alkyldiketene dispersions comprising an alkyldiketene, cationic starch having an amylopectic content of at least 95% by weight and as anionic dispersants(a) from 0.05 to 1.0% by weight of ligninsulfonic acid, condensates of naphthalenesulfonic acid and formaldehyde, sulfonated polystyrene, salts and mixtures of said polymers and (b) from 0.05 to 1.5% by weight of sulfuric monoesters of alcohols having at least 10 carbon atoms, phosphoric monoesters or diesters of alcohols having at least 10 carbon atoms, sulfuric monoesters of alkoxylated alcohols having at least 10 carbon atoms, phosphoric monoesters or diesters of alkoxylated alcohols having at least 10 carbon atoms, C.sub.12 -C.sub.30 -alkylsulfonic acids, salts and mixtures of said compoundscan be used as body size in the manufacture of paper, paperboard and cardboard and for making cellulose fibers hydrophobic.

    摘要： Aqueous alkyldiketene dispersions which contain a C.sub.14 -C.sub.22 -alkyldiketene and from 1 to 10% by weight of a polymeric protective colloid contain, as the protective colloid(a) copolymers of(1) N-vinylpyrrolidone and(2) at least one quaternized N-vinylimidazole or a substituted quaternized N-vinylimidazoleas polymerized units in a molar ratio of from 80:20 to 5:95 and have a K value of at least 20 (according to H. Fikentscher in 0.5 M aqueous sodium chloride solution at a polymer concentration of 0.1% by weight and at 25.degree. C.) or(b) condensates which are obtainable by(1) partial amidation of polyethyleneimines with monocarboxylic acids and, if required(2) condensation of the partially amidated polyethyleneimines with at least bifunctional crosslinking agents which have a halohydrin, glycidyl, aziridine or isocyanate unit or a halogen atom as a functional groupto give crosslinked, amidated polyethyleneimines which have a viscosity of at least 100 mPa.s in 20% strength by weight aqueous solution at 20.degree. C.,or mixtures of (a) and (b) and are used as engine size in the production of paper, board and cardboard and for rendering cellulosic fibers water-repellent.
