摘要: Methods and apparatus for manufacturing a microwavable food container include: forming a wire mesh over a mold comprising a mirror image of the microwavable food container; immersing the wire mesh in a fiber-based slurry bath; drawing a vacuum across the wire mesh to cause fiber particles to accumulate at the wire mesh surface; and removing the wire mesh including the accumulated fiber particles from the slurry bath; wherein the slurry comprises a moisture barrier, an oil barrier, and a vapor barrier.

摘要: A cationic polyether amine dispersant for papermaking fibers comprises the polymeric reaction product of a polyether diamine, a polyether bisepoxide and a quaternary ammonium salt. The polyether diamine, the polyether bisepoxide and the quaternary ammonium salt reactants are reacted in the following molar ratios: the molar ratio of amine functionality of the polyether diamine to epoxide functionality of the polyether bisepoxide is from 0.5:1 to 2:1 and the molar ratio of the amine functionality of the polyether diamine to the epoxide functionality of the quaternary ammonium salt is from 10:1 to 40:1. The dispersant is used in stock preparation used in paper products including absorbent products as well as paperboard.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method for detackifying organic contaminants in the process of pulping and papermaking and a composition used for the same. Specifically, the invention discloses that the water circulation system of pulping and papermaking process can be provided with non-ionic cellulose ether and cationic coagulant in lower amount, through which, the deposition of organic contaminants can be inhibited under the synergistic action of pre-coagulation and detackification.

摘要: The present disclosure provides for a method of preparing and using an emulsion for treating a papermaking process. The emulsion is an oil-in-water emulsion of alkenyl succinic anhydride emulsified with a polymer comprising at least one primary or secondary amine containing monomer. The method comprises adding an oil-in-water emulsion to the papermaking process; wherein the oil-in-water emulsion comprises alkenyl succinic anhydride emulsified with a polymer comprising at least one primary or secondary amine containing monomer; and wherein the oil-in-water emulsion is added in an amount sufficient to improve sizing of the paper produced by the papermaking process. The primary or secondary amine may be a secondary amine comprising diallylamine, and the polymer may be a diallylamine-acrylamide copolymer.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing corrugated fiberboard from plies of paper which each have a grammage of 70 to 200 g/m2 and of which at least one ply of paper is obtained by a process comprising the addition of (A) 0.25 to 5 wt %, based on dry paper stock, of at least one cationic polymer comprising vinylamine units, and (B) 0 to 5 wt %, based on dry paper stock, of at least one polymeric anionic compound, to a paper stock, draining the paper stock by sheet formation, coating the paper web obtained with (C) 0.1 to 3 wt %, based on dry paper stock, of at least one starch and drying the coated paper web, wherein the polymeric anionic compound is selected from a polymeric anionic compound (B1) and a polymeric anionic compound (B2), wherein said polymeric anionic compound (B1) is obtainable by copolymerizing a monomer mixture comprising, preferably consisting of, (a) at least one monomer (a) selected from acrylamide and an N-vinylcarboxamide of the formula where R1 and R2 are each H or C1 to C6 alkyl, (b) at least one acid-functional monoethylenically unsaturated monomer and/or its alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or ammonium salts (b), and (c) optionally one or more monoethylenically unsaturated compounds (c) other than said monomers (a) and (b), and (d) optionally one or more compounds having at least two ethylenically unsaturated double bonds in the molecule, and said polymeric anionic compound (B2) is the hydrolysis product of said polymeric anionic compound (B1) whose carboxamide moieties have been partly or wholly hydrolyzed into amino groups, and also the corrugated fiberboard thus obtained and its use in the manufacture of packaging boxes from corrugated fiberboard.

摘要: Resin systems and methods for making and using same are provided. The method for making a paper product can include contacting a plurality of pulp fibers with a resin system. The resin system can include a first polyamidoamine-epihalohydrin resin and a second resin that can include a second polyamidoamine-epihalohydrin resin, a urea-formaldehyde resin, or a mixture thereof to produce a paper product. The first resin and the second resin can be sequentially or simultaneously contacted with the plurality of pulp fibers. The period for sequential addition between the first resin and the second resin is about 1 second to about 1 hour.
