摘要： An image forming apparatus has a direct print function by which application data is obtained from an external device so that image formation is performed. The image forming apparatus includes an obtaining unit, a classification unit, a discarding unit, a storage unit, an image processing unit and an image forming unit. The obtaining unit obtains the application data. The classification unit classifies the application data into use data used for the image formation and no-use data not used for the image formation on the basis of a predetermined setting related to the image formation. The discarding unit discards the no-use data. The storage unit stores the use data. The image processing unit generates print data on the basis of the stored use data. The image forming unit performs the image formation on the basis of the print data.

摘要： Disclosed is an image forming apparatus which generates print data based on control data for page print inputted from an external device and which forms an image based on the print data. The image forming apparatus includes a control unit having a plurality of arithmetic processing units, and an image forming unit for forming an image based on the print data which is outputted by the control unit. The control unit generates the print data by carrying out a rasterizing process of one page in band unit constituted by a predetermined number of lines based on the control data for page print and sequentially outputs the generated print data at output timings defined in a constant output interval, wherein the rasterizing process is controlled based on whether or not generation of print data is to be completed within the output interval for all of bands in the one page.

摘要： There is described an image forming apparatus, which makes it possible to implement a high-speed printing operation based on print data attached with a digital signature. The apparatus comprises: a storage section to store print data; a, digital signature analyzing section to analyze a digital signature; a language analyzing section to analyze the print data; an image processing section to create bitmap data; a printing section to implement a printing operation; and a control section that selectively conducts either a first controlling operation or a second controlling operation. In the first controlling operation, the digital signature analyzing section and the language analyzing section respectively conduct the digital signature analyzing operation and the language analyzing operation in parallel, while, in the second controlling operation, the digital signature analyzing section conducts the digital signature analyzing operation at first, and the language analyzing section conduct the language analyzing operation after the digital signature analyzing operation is completed.
