摘要: A variable capacitance unit is formed between one portion of a human body and an opposed electrode facing it through a casing of a robot toy (electronic device) when the one portion of the human body such as a hand or a finger approaches the surface of the casing of the robot. Since the capacitance of the variable capacitance unit varies according to the facing area and the facing distance of the one portion of the human body and the opposed electrode, it is possible to detect the one portion of the human body approaching or touching the robot toy by detecting this change. Since the opposed electrode forming the touch sensor can be provided within the casing, the touch sensor cannot be seen directly from the outside of the robot toy.

摘要: A sensor unit is configured to have an insulating case covering a mobile phone, a conductive substrate provided on the inner surface of the case, and a sensor electrode fixed on the surface of the conductive substrate. When a part of the human body of a user, such as a finger or a hand of the user, touches the surface of the case, a detection unit detects a change in capacitance provided between the human body and the conductive substrate. When it is determined that the user has touched the mobile phone, an activation signal is output and the operation mode of the mobile phone is set to a normal power mode in which power is automatically supplied. With this configuration, the operability of the mobile phone can be improved.

摘要: A calligraphy/drawing camera image-captures a document and sends a resultant captured image to a personal computer (S101). The personal computer applies various image processes such as correction of various deformations including a trapezoidal deformation based on image information obtained from the captured image, a rotation process, a cut out process, etc. to the captured image (S102 to S104). The personal computer sends the processed image to a projector (S105). The projector projects the processed image on a screen (S106). Since the captured image is corrected based on the image information obtained from the captured image, not only correction of a trapezoidal deformation but also various other corrections can be done on the captured image.

摘要: A rotary valve assembly for controlling flow passing through substantially parallel passages, is disclosed. A wall has a cylindrical bore extending transverse to the passages. An elongated rotor is rotatably supported at opposed ends thereof within the cylindrical bore. A plurality of axially spaced valves are disposed on the rotor so as to open and close the passages. A plurality of wall portions are disposed between the valves so as to isolate the adjacent passages. A C-ring is disposed on the respective wall portion of the rotor in sealing contact with the wall surface surrounding the cylindrical bore. An O-ring is disposed axially adjacent to the C-ring and adapted for reducing radial vibration of the rotor and cooperating with the C-ring to prevent leakage flow through the adjacent passages.

摘要: An envelope extracting circuit extracts an envelope from the waveform sampled by a musical tone sampling circuit, and stores the envelope data into a memory. An envelope approximating circuit approximates the envelope data as stored in the memory by the function data such as linear or exponential function data. The original envelope is approximated by a limited number of function waveforms whose characteristics change at switching points.
