    摘要: An ultrasonic liquid ejecting unit comprises a piezoelectric transducer coated with a conductive film on each of its front and rear surfaces, a nozzle plate secured to the transducer to form a bimorph vibration system and a body having a liquid chamber defined by the nozzle plate in pressure transmitting relation with the liquid in the chamber. The nozzle plate is coated on each of its front and rear surfaces with a pattern of adjoining regions of cement-active and cement-inactive properties. The cement-active region on the front surface conforms to the rear surface of the transducer and the cement-active region of the rear surface conforms to a contact surface of the body. When fabricating the unit, a cementing material in liquid phase, such as molten solder, is applied to each surface of the nozzle plate to exclusively wet the cement-active regions prior to contacting the nozzle plate to the transducer and to the body.

    摘要: A thin film thermistor having a thermistor element, one pair of external leads and a metal housing is arranged such that the thermistor element is secured to the inner surface thereof by brazing. The thin film thermistor rapidly detects temperatures by means of a mechanical connection between the thermistor and an outer surface of an object that it touches. The thermistor element may be covered with a protective layer of a fired low melting point glass in order to protect the thermistor element from a severe environment.

    摘要: A helicopter-mounted communication apparatus encodes video data at a compression rate based on a percentage of time a transmission beam is blocked by rotor blades. When a number of video packets is less than a specified number, the helicopter-mounted communication apparatus inserts null packets to keep a packet rate constant, then deletes the null packets and attaches additional information to another packet indicating the number of deleted null packets, and after buffering modulates and transmits a signal toward a communication satellite at transmittable-time points. A terrestrial station communication apparatus receives and demodulates the transmitted signal via the communication satellite, generating a packet stream, and based on the additional information included in the generated packet stream, inserts null packets in the packet stream and buffers the packet stream, thereby keeping the packet rate constant, and then separates the video packets from the packet stream and decodes the separated video packets.

    摘要: A control device for an internal combustion engine employing PCCI combustion, capable of realizing high-stability operation of the engine throughout a large operation area, is provided. The engine control device comprises a fuel supply system which supplies light oil or mixed fuel containing light oil to the engine, a gas supply system which supplies hydrogen to the engine, and a required premixed gas calculating unit which previously stores and uses multiple combustion waveforms (changing depending on hydrogen addition concentration) as data. The required premixed gas calculating unit selects one of the combustion waveforms so as to achieve high thermal efficiency depending on the status of the engine and determines the hydrogen addition concentration (addition concentration of the hydrogen to be supplied to the engine) corresponding to the selected combustion waveform, by which the generation of PM and NOx can be reduced while also improving the thermal efficiency of the engine.

    摘要: A method for making a carbide thin film thermistor which comprises providing an insulating substrate, forming at least one pair of electroconductive electrodes on the substrate in a desired pattern, and forming a carbide resistor film on the insulating substrate and the electroconductive electrodes by sputtering process while leaving part of the electrodes exposed for external connections. A carbide target material is sputtered in an inert gas atmosphere containing a small amount of an impurity gas. The thermistor element is arbitrarily controlled to have a desired level of resistance by choice of the impurity gas, the amount of such gas and the mode of sputtering. Optionally, the element is trimmed to adjust its resistance accurately and is also hermetically sealed within a glass tube to prevent the element from being contaminated with harmful substances.
