    摘要: A brake force control device for a vehicle includes a master cylinder for being operated by an operating member of the vehicle, a wheel brake for being mounted on a vehicle wheel which is connected to the master cylinder through a conduit, a pressure control chamber connected to the wheel brake, a displacement actuator which varies a capacity of the pressure control chamber and a control unit which controls the displacement actuator. The displacement actuator includes a plunger which varies a capacity of the pressure control chamber, a drive unit which drives the plunger, a first valve which closes the conduit when the plunger is operated to decrease the capacity of the pressure control chamber and which opens the conduit when the first valve receives a brake pressure from the master cylinder which is larger than that in the pressure control chamber with a predetermined value, and a second valve which closes the conduit when the plunger is operated to increase the capacity of the pressure control chamber and which opens the conduit when the brake pressure in the pressure control chamber is larger than that in the master cylinder with a predetermined value.

The apparatus includes a mounting bracket that is adapted to be fixed to a vehicle body, and a pedal that is rotatably mounted on the bracket for rotation about a rotational axis, with the pedal being connected to a parking brake control cable. The pedal is provided with a plurality of ratchet teeth and a pawl is rotatably mounted on the bracket for rotation between a first rotational position in which the pawl is engaged with the ratchet teeth and a second rotational position in which the pawl is disengaged from the ratchet teeth. The pawl is slidably mounted on the bracket to slide between a first slide position and a second slide position. The apparatus is designed to allow the parking brake to be engaged and disengaged by pressing on the pedal.

    摘要: A hydraulic pressure control valve for a dual-circuit brake system of a vehicle. In this control valve a pair of valve pistons for controlling the braking hydraulic pressure delivered to each of rear wheel brakes are disposed in a housing parallelly and imparted with biasing force directed inwards of the housing by one biasing device. The biasing device is assembled or set within a cover of cup-shape such that the biasing device has been given a preload substantially equal to a biasing force necessary for the control valve before the cover is fixed to the valve housing. The biasing device includes a swingable guide rod attached at one end thereof to the cover with a pivot pin, a sliding member slidably fitted on the guide rod, and a compression spring disposed between the sliding member and a free end of the guide rod for biasing the sliding member toward the pivoted end of the guide rod. The guide rod is provided with a projection for stopping axial movement of the sliding member due to the biasing force of the spring. When the cover is attached to the valve housing the sliding member abuts on ends of the valve pistons and consequently is separated from the projection for transmitting the biasing force of the spring to the valve pistons.

    摘要: A brake booster of stroke-enlarging type which includes a power piston moved in accordance with the difference of pressure on opposite sides thereof, a control piston having therein a control valve for controlling the pressure difference and slidably fitted in a central bore of the power piston, an anti-backdown transmission mechanism disposed between the two pistons, a reaction lever abutted at an output portion thereof on an output member and, at a pair of input portions located on opposite sides of the output portion, on the control piston and the anti-backdown transmission mechanism respectively, and a return spring backwardly biasing the power piston. The anti-backdown transmission mechanism transmits the output force of the power piston to the reaction lever and the reactionary force of the reaction lever to the power piston in an initial operation stage of the booster, and after an advancing of the power piston in relation to the control piston by a predetermined amount it transmits the reactionary force of the reaction lever not to the power piston but to the control piston. An abutting portion is disposed on the power piston for abutting on the front side of the anti-backdown transmission mechanism for retracting the same to the original position together with the power piston which is forcibly retracted by the return spring.

    摘要: A disc brake used in a car wherein a friction pad is urged onto the disc surface to restrain the movement of the disc, which disc brake, for facitating the mounting of the friction pad, is provided with (1) a backing plate of the friction pad having a notch sandwiched by two projection portions, an upper, and a lower which is smaller than the upper in projected length, on opposite upper end corners of the pad for being fitted into by a guide rail formed on a stationary member in order to allow the friction pad to slidably move in a normal direction to the disc surface; (2) a guide rail having a recess on one part thereof for allowing the lower projection portion formed smaller on the lower side of the notch to pass in a normal direction to the guide rail but not allowing the upper projection portion formed larger on the upper side of the notch to pass in the same direction; and (3) an anti-rattle spring comprising a flat body portion, an upper holding down pawl, a flange portion extending perpendicularly from the body portion, and a lower resilient pawl, which is easy to be incorporated into a complete disc brake assembly and efficient in preventing the rattling of the brake assembly.
