    摘要: There are provided fibers having excellent mechanical strength such as tensile strength and elastic modulus and a polyamide that is a raw material of the fibers. The polyamide is a polyamide (X) which mainly comprises recurring units represented by the following formulae (A) and (B): has an inherent viscosity measured at 30° C. in 0.5 g/100 ml of concentrated sulfuric acid solution of 0.05 to 20 dl/g and has a substituent represented by the following formula (C): wherein Ar3 is a trivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, and Ar4 is a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, at at least some of terminals, and the fibers are fibers formed from the polyamide (X).
