    摘要: This invention relates to the field of electrical connectors, and particularly concerns electrical connectors with multiple contacts requiring keying of the mating connector parts. With prior art devices, when more than one connector pair is used in a system, different connector parts must be chosen which have a different keying configuration for the key and groove. With another prior art device, which uses a single type connector part, it is necessary to sacrifice one contact position in the connectors. The present invention overcomes the deficiencies of the prior art noted above by providing a keying device which permits manufacture and production of a single type of male or female connector part and yet does not require the sacrifice of contact positions within the connector parts to effectuate the keying. The invention therefore provides an improved connector keying device for keying mating first and second connector parts to assure proper connection between the parts and to prevent connection to other connector parts of unlike keying. In accordance with the invention, there is provided a key mount affixed to the first connector part and adapted to receive a key member mounted thereto. An appropriate key member is removably attached to the key mount. A key member receiver is mounted on the second connector part and has a key member-receiving slot therein aligned with and slidingly receiving the key member when the first and second connector parts are mated.

    摘要: An electronic card receiving device includes a card holder forming a card receiving space in the device for receiving an electronic card, a card latching mechanism for holding the electronic card in position in the card receiving space formed by the card holder, a contacting mechanism for electrically connecting the device to contacts of the electronic card held in position, and a card pushing mechanism for disconnecting the device from the electronic card and pushing it out of the device. The card pushing mechanism comprises a first ejecting plate and a second ejecting plate slidable in directions of inserting and removing the electronic card. The first ejecting plate comprises an abutting portion for applying a force to an inserted electronic card to push it in the direction of removing the card. The second ejecting plate comprises a stopper guide for obtaining an initial stable condition of the second ejecting plate, a latched condition of the inserted card and a transitional condition of the second ejecting plate during its sliding. When an electronic card is inserted into and removed from the device, an area where card terminals are rubbed by contact pins and time for such a rubbing are very small and short, so that the contact pins are scarcely worn and the card terminals of the electric card are not damaged to ensure high reliability of the system of this kind.

    摘要: An improved connector for terminating flexible parallel conductors in which a male part has a length of distal surface about which an end of a flexible group of parallel conductors is bent. The male part, with the group of parallel conductors bent thereabout is inserted into a female part having a closed slot therein and a plurality of contacts along one of the walls thereof. Upon mating of the two connector parts, the contacts of the female part electrically engages respective ones of the parallel conductors. Various means are provided for keeping the conductors aligned during the mating action and latch members on both male and female parts cooperate to releasably secure the two parts together.

    摘要: A fiber optic connector, especially for multiple-core fiber optic cables, in which a ferrule (2), mounted in a ferrule insert (3), and adapted to receive the optical fiber (P), is provided in a plug (A,B). An adaptor (C) is provided for receiving the plug, and includes a holding sleeve (11) which is retained in an insert (10). A split sleeve (12) is mounted in the holding sleeve (11) for receiving the ferrule (2). A terminal part (11b) of the holding sleeve protrudes from the surface of the insert (10) and is snugly received in an insertion recess (14) provided at the forward end of the ferrule insert (10). The terminal part (11b) enters recess (14) after the ferrule (2) has entered the split sleeve (12) at the time of connection of the plug and adaptor.

    摘要: A method for producing an electric contact extending from a copper foil, comprises steps of fixing a cover lay having a hole of a diameter smaller than that of the copper foil of a predetermined size to the copper foil, and plating the hole of the cover lay so as to reach the upper surface of the cover lay as a first step; installing a dry film having a hole of a diameter smaller than that of the hole of the cover lay onto the cover lay, and plating the hole of the dry film so as to reach the upper surface of the dry film as a second step; and after removal of the dry film, as a third step further plating the plate layers obtained in the first and second steps. The electric contacts produced by the method have a predetermined height which is as high as possible and uniform without causing any defective connection between them. In a method for producing an electrical connector, diameters of the holes of the dry film in plating are changed depending upon positions of the electric contacts.

    摘要: An electrical connector includes an elastomer in the form of a layer, and a plurality of fine conductive wires embedded in the elastomer and extending rectilinearly in vertical directions to front and rear surfaces of the elastomer. The fine conductive wires have an overall length substantially the same as or slightly larger than the thickness of the elastomer so that both the ends of the fine conductive wires extend from the front and rear surfaces of the elastomer. The electrical connector includes a flexible printed circuit board connected to the fine conductive wires. The flexible printed circuit board includes at least three electric contacts arranged substantially concentrically around and electrically connected to each of the fine conductive wires. With this arrangement, the electrical connector enables a stable inspection for integrated circuit pads in a manner which minimizes irregularities in repeatedly measured values of electric resistance and skew.

    摘要: A shielded electrical connector in which the shield cover is formed as two U-shaped parts, each of which includes an integral clamping portion for clamping with a shielded connector. The cover parts are compressed together, following which the clamp portions are clamped about the cable to provide electrical connection between the cable and the shield cover.
