    摘要: In one aspect, the present disclosure describes a process for maintaining file allocation tables (FATs) for a volume of storage medium. The process includes triggering, by a write operation, modification of data in an existing sector of a data file by writing of data to a new sector of the storage medium. The process also includes writing revised used/unused sector information into one FAT and setting a variable indicative of a number of FATs (NOF) to a first value. The process additionally includes copying the one FAT to another FAT and re-setting the variable to a second value.

    摘要: A side-pumped solid state laser utilizing a laser diode stack of laser diode submount assemblies is provided. The laser gain medium of the solid state laser is contained within a laser cavity defined by a pair of reflective elements. Each laser diode submount assembly includes a submount to which one or more laser diodes are attached. The radiation-emitting active layer of each laser diode is positioned substantially parallel to the mounting surfaces of the submount, causing the fast axis of each laser diode's output beam to be substantially orthogonal to the submount mounting surfaces. The laser diodes can be of one wavelength or multiple wavelengths. Preferably the submount has a high thermal conductivity and a CTE that is matched to that of the laser diode. On top of the submount, adjacent to the laser diode, is a spacer. The laser diode stack is formed by mechanically coupling the bottom surface of each submount to the spacer of an adjacent submount assembly. Preferably the laser diode stack is thermally coupled to a cooling block.

The method includes directing a pulsed laser beam towards an object such that an interface between an oxidized layer and non-oxidized substrate is in a mark zone of the pulsed laser beam, and scanning the pulsed laser beam across the object in a predetermined pattern to create a mark having an L value of less than 40 and a surface roughness that is substantially unchanged compared to adjacent unmarked areas. The system includes a fiber laser generating amplified pulses that are directed towards a galvo-scanner and focusing optic, while the object includes an oxidized surface layer, an underlying non-oxidized substrate, and a mark having an L value of less than 40 with substantially unchanged roughness features.

    摘要: An end-pumped solid state laser utilizing a laser diode stack of laser diode subassemblies as the pump source is provided. The laser gain medium of the solid state laser is contained within a laser cavity defined by a pair of reflective elements. Each laser diode subassembly includes a submount to which one or more laser diodes are attached. The fast axis corresponding to each output beam of each laser diode is substantially perpendicular to the mounting surfaces of the submount. On top of the submount, adjacent to the laser diode, is a spacer. The method comprises receiving a query string at a user interface of the device and displaying one or more index strings on the user interface such that the relative prominence of each index string displayed increases with increasing resemblance of that index string to the query string. The method further comprises displaying an index string with greater prominence when a fixed-length substring of the query string occurs anywhere in the index string, regardless of position. In this manner, the relevance of prominently displayed index strings increases as more characters are appended to the query string, even if the query string contains errors.

    摘要: A license tracking system has been developed that comprises: a) at least one set of license requirements, b) at least one form, questionnaire, prompt series, survey interface or combination thereof that requests at least one piece of input data related to a licensee, the license requirements or a combination thereof from a user, c) at least one database that collects and compares the at least one set of license requirements and the at least one piece of input data to produce a set of compliance instances and a set of alert instances, d) a compliance notice component that provides the set of compliance instances to the user, and e) an alert notice component that provides at least one of the alert instances to the user. Methods of tracking licenses and license-related information have also been developed, along with network systems capable of executing software programs comprising license tracking software.
