    摘要: A mechanism is provided for archiving and restoring transaction files of a database system without requiring the copying of the transaction files. A server system executes a host application that implements the database system comprising a set of database files and a set of transaction files that contains updates to the set of database files, the files being stored in a storage system. A backup engine interacts with the host application to archive a transaction file having an original filename in an original directory by creating a corresponding archive filename to the transaction file in an archive directory. The archive transaction files may be used later to perform a copy-less restore process of the database system that does not require copying of any transaction files. The copy-less restore process restores any altered original filenames by replacing, in the original directory, an altered original filename with its corresponding archive filename.

    摘要: A framing method and apparatus are disclosed to overcome inconsistency of gains between sub-frames caused by simple average framing in the prior art. The method includes: obtaining the Linear Prediction Coding (LPC) order and the pitch of the signal; removing the samples inapplicable to Long-Term Prediction (LTP) synthesis according to the LPC prediction order and the pitch; and splitting the remaining samples of the signal into several sub-frames. The technical solution under the present invention is applicable to the multimedia speech coding field.

The method for pulse encoding includes: calculating an index value of an input pulse; selecting an adjustment threshold value according to the number of pulses, and comparing the index value of the pulse with the adjustment threshold value; if the index value is smaller than the adjustment threshold value, adopting the first number of encoding bits to encode the index value, if the index value is not smaller than the adjustment threshold value, adopting the second number of encoding bits to encode the index value plus an offset value, where the first number is smaller than the second number, the first number and the second number are both positive integers, and the offset value is greater than or equal to the adjustment threshold value.

    摘要: Method, apparatus, and system for encoding and decoding signals are disclosed. The encoding method includes: converting a first-domain signal into a second-domain signal; performing Linear Prediction (LP) processing and Long-Term Prediction (LTP) processing for the second-domain signal; obtaining a long-term flag according to a decision criterion; obtaining a second-domain predictive signal according to the LP processing result and the LTP processing result when the long-term flag is a first flag; or obtaining a second-domain predictive signal according to the LP processing result when the long-term flag is a second flag; converting the second-domain predictive signal into a first-domain predictive signal, calculating a first-domain predictive residual signal; and outputting a bit stream that includes the first-domain predictive residual signal. Subsequent encoding or decoding process is performed adaptively according to the long-term flag; and it is not always necessary to consider the LTP processing result, thus improving the compression performance of codec.

    摘要: The present invention relates to information processing technologies and discloses an encoding and decoding method and device to solve the poor decoding quality problem. The technical solution of the present invention includes: encoding each sample of an input signal to generate an encoded signal of a core layer; comparing residuals of all or a part of the samples of the input signal with encoding thresholds, where the residuals are generated by core layer encoding, and performing encoding according to comparison results to generate an encoded signal of an enhancement layer; and writing the encoded signal of the core layer and the encoded signal of the enhancement layer into a bitstream to generate an encoded signal of the input signal.
