摘要: The invention relates to a process for the production of paper from a suspension of cellulose containing fibers, and optional fillers, comprising adding to the suspension a low molecular weight cationic organic polymer, a high molecular weight cationic or amphoteric polymer and anionic inorganic particles, forming and draining the suspension on a wire, wherein the low molecular weight polymer has a molecular weight below 700,000 and the high molecular weight polymer has a molecular weight above 1,000,000, said polymers being simultaneously added to the suspension. The invention further relates to a polymer mixture in the form of an aqueous dispersion comprising at least one high molecular weight cationic or amphoteric acrylamide-based polymer having a molecular weight above 1,000,000, at least one low molecular weight cationic organic polymer having a molecular weight below 700,000 and at least one water-soluble inorganic salt, the weight ratio of said high molecular weight polymer to said low molecular weight polymer being within the range of from 9:1 to 1:2.

摘要: The invention relates to a pigment composition in the form of an aqueous dispersion or slurry comprising: (c) porous aggregates formed by aggregation of colloidal primary particles of silica, aluminosilicate or a mixture thereof in an aqueous sol, said porous aggregates having a mean diameter from about 0.03 to about 25 μm, and, (d) extender particles where the mean size of at least one dimension is larger than the mean diameter of the porous aggregates, wherein the weight ratio of porous aggregates to extender particles is from about 0.01:1 to about 3:1. The invention further relates to a process for its production, a composition for coating paper or paper board and a process for its production, and a process for coating paper or paper board and paper or paper board obtainable by the process.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the production of coated paper or paperboard comprising a step of applying a pigment composition as a coating to at least one side of a paper or paperboard web, said pigment composition being an aqueous dispersion comprising as pigment particles optionally aggregated colloidal particles of silica or aluminosilicate prepared from alkali metal silicate by ion exchange or pH-reduction and having a surface area from about 30 m2/g to about 450 m2/g, and at least one cationic component selected from the group consisting of water soluble aluminium salts and cationic polymers with a molecular weight from about 2000 to about 1000000 and a charge density from about 0.2 meq/g to about 12 meq/g, wherein at least about 0.4 g pigment particles from the pigment composition are applied per m2 coated side of the paper or paper board web.
