摘要: A semiconductor device (20) is formed on a substrate (21) that has first and second well regions (25, 26) formed at a surface (18) of the substrate. A control electrode (34) extends over the surface to activate a first channel (42) with a control signal (V14) for routing a current (IN) from a first node (13) of the semiconductor device to an edge (43) of the first well region. The control signal further activates a second channel (46) for routing the current from an edge (45) of the second well region to a second node (15) of the semiconductor device.

摘要: A semiconductor device (10,50) is disclosed which can accommodate a negative voltage on its source using a P-type substrate (12) which is connected to ground potential. A first embodiment illustrates a device which can handle high voltage applications as well as a negative voltage applied to the source. A drain contact region (29) is recessed by a dimension (X) from a first insulated region (18). The dimension (X) provides for an optimum distance for high voltage applications while avoiding lateral surface punch-through. A second embodiment illustrates a gate structure (52) having a shape which surrounds a drain contact region (62) and accommodates a high voltage application while also eliminating the lateral surface punch-through. The drain contact region (62) is formed in a P-type region (20) centered inside the gate structure (52).

摘要: A live streaming system/method provides cross platform live streaming capabilities to mobile devices. The live streaming system includes a live streaming recorder operative to (1) capture a live media stream generated by a live media source and save the captured live media stream as a recorded stream in a recorded media file, and (2) transcode the recorded stream into a plurality of transcoded media files of respective different media encoding formats. The system further includes a stream distribution subsystem operative to generate a plurality of distributed media streams each generated from one or more of the transcoded media files, each distributed media stream being delivered to a corresponding set of the mobile endpoint devices.

摘要: In a system for streaming data over a network, the type and rate of streaming are automatically varied based on available network bandwidth. Video media is transcoded into different bit rate encodings that are divided into segment files. Segments are sent from a network-aware adaptive streaming (NAAS) server and reassembled and presented to a media player at a client device. The system may download additional segment files ahead of time from multiple NAAS servers to increase throughput. A playback status (“bookmark”) may be maintained to keep track of what the user has viewed and to allow the user to continue playing from where the user left off. The user may continue watching from the bookmark point on the same device or on a different device.

摘要: An electronic package and method for spatially distributing a clock signal is presented. The electronic package includes a low-loss structure, a semiconductor die, clocking vias, and clock receivers on the die. The low-loss structure is constructed and arranged to be driven by a clock signal and to produce standing waves. The clocking vias are constructed and arranged to connect the low-loss structure to the die and to conduct the standing waves to the die. The clock receivers generate respective synchronous on-chip clock signals based at least in part on the conducted standing waves.

摘要: A voltage regulator that has a first mode circuit having a gating device and an amplifier, the gating device with a first input for receiving a first voltage, a second input, and an output. The amplifier is configured to receive a reference voltage and the gating device output as the second input. The gating device is configured to receive an amplifier output at said second input and responsive thereto to couple the first voltage with the gating device output when the gating device output is within a voltage range. The voltage regulator also has a second mode circuit having a voltage divider with an output. The voltage divider is configured to received the first voltage and supply a second voltage to the voltage divider output. The invention also relates to an integrated circuit having a power bus line and at least two voltage regulator cells coupled to the power bus line.

摘要: Establishing trusted communication with a media client application on a client device includes receiving an identifying token originating in a secure messaging session between a messaging server and the client device, and sending an encrypted generated nonce to the messaging server for delivery to the client device. A blob request message is received that includes a decrypted nonce value and identifies the client device, user, and content owner. The blob request message is tested and a blob is conditionally sent to the client device that includes a secret value for accessing an API via which the client device obtains decryption keys for decrypting protected media. Testing includes evaluating whether the decrypted nonce value matches the generated nonce value. The blob request message may include device integrity information to evaluate whether the device has been tampered with, as a further condition to allowing access to the protected media.

摘要: Analytics information is collected in a content delivery network when content requests are received by a content router. Analytics information may be gleaned from uniform resource identifiers, and additional augmented analytics information may be specified by either the client that issued the request or an intermediate network node that proxied the request. The augmented analytics information may be specified in proprietary HTTP header fields. Information collection includes intercepting content requests; correlating URIs with known content assets; associating content requests with session state; extracting downstream node augmented information from the content requests; updating session information in persistent storage; selecting target locations from which to retrieve the content assets; and redirecting the content requests to the target locations.
