    摘要： A dispersion of fine particles of a gelled polymer obtainable by copolymerizing and crosslinking a vinyl monomer mixture containing at least 0.5% by weight each of at least two vinyl monomers in the presence of a macromonomer A, which has a molecular chain of poly(12-hydroxystearic acid) and has at least about one polymerizable unsaturated double bond per molecule in average, and a macromonomer B, which is a copolymer of an ethylenic unsaturated monomer and has a solubility parameter value of from 7.5 to 9.2 and about 1.0 to about 1.5 in average of polymerizable unsaturated double bonds, in an organic solvent which is capable of dissolving the macromonomers A and B but is substantially incapable of dissolving a polymer from said vinyl monomer mixture; and a curable resin composition comprising a dispersion of fine particles of the above-described gelled polymer, a base resin which is non-compatible with the macromonomer A but is compatible with the macromonomer B and which forms a continuous phase, and at least one crosslinking agent selected from the group consisting of an amino resin and a polyisocyanate compound.

    摘要： A coating composition which consists essentially of:(A) a copolymer comprising 5 to 40 wt. % of an alkoxysilane-containing vinyl monomer which is a compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein A is ##STR2## R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or methyl group, R.sub.2 is a bivalent aliphatic saturated hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are the same or different and are each a phenyl group, alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or alkoxy group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R.sub.5 is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, m is 0 or 1, and n is an integer of 1 to 100, 5 to 50 wt. % of a hydroxyl-containing vinyl monomer and 30 to 70 wt. % of a fluorine-containing vinyl monomer, and (B) an amino resin in an amount of 5 to 50 wt. % based on the total amount of solids in the copolymer (A) and the amino resin (B).

    摘要： A thermosetting resin composition comprising as main components(A) an acrylic resin containing in the molecule a carboxyl group, a hydroxyl group and an epoxy group and having an acid value of 15-150 mg KOH/g, a hydroxyl value of 30 mg KOH/g or more, an epoxy equivalent of 3,000-15,000 and a number-average molecular weight of 3,000-30,000,(B) an acrylic resin containing in the molecule a carboxyl group, a hydroxyl group and an epoxy group and having an acid value of 2-10 mg KOH/g, a hydroxyl value of 30 mg KOH/g or more, an epoxy equivalent of 250-2,500 and a number-average molecular weight of 3,000-30,000 and(C) an amino resin,wherein the molar ratio of the carboxyl group of the component (A)/the epoxy group of the component (B) is 1/0.5 to 0.5/1 and the amount of the component (C) is 10-40% by weight based on the total amount of the components (A) to (C). The resin composition is useful for use particularly in top coat paint composition for automobile outer panels.

    摘要： The invention provides an automotive top coating composition, comprising as the main components;: (A) an acrylic polymer prepared by copolymerizing 5 to 40% by weight of an alkoxysilane-containing vinyl monomer which is a compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein A is ##STR2## R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R.sub.2 is a bivalent aliphatic saturated hydrocarbon group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are the same or different and are each a phenyl group, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or an alkoxy group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R.sub.4 is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and n is an integer of 1 to 100, 5 to 50% by weight of a hydroxyl-containing vinyl monomer and 10 to 90% by weight of a vinyl monomer which is copolymerizable with the above vinyl monomers, and (B) an amino resin in an amount of 5 to 50% by weight based on the total amount of resin solids in the coating composition.

    摘要： A self-crosslinkable resin useful as, for example, adhesive compositions and coating compositions. The resin contains complementary reactive groups, that is, a blocked isocyanate group and a hydroxyl group, in the same molecule. The resin is prepared by reacting a hydroxy-containing vinyl monomer with some isocyanate groups on the skeleton of a vinyl polymer having at least two isocyanate groups in the molecule so to introduce a polymerizable double bond into the polymer, and subsequently completely blocking the isocyanate group(s) remaining on the polymer skeleton with a blocking agent, or vice versa. Thereafter an unsaturated monomer component consisting essentially of a hydroxyl-containing vinyl monomer is polymerized with the polymerizable double bond introduced.
