Abstract: A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a base body including first and second main surfaces, first and second side surfaces, first and second end surfaces, and dielectric layers and internal electrode layers, and external electrodes at the first and second end surfaces, and electrically connected to the internal electrode layers. The base body includes an inner layer, first and second outer layers, first and second side margin portions. The dielectric layers in the inner layer and the first and second outer layers include main crystal grains including barium and titanium, and with respect to 100 parts by mol of titanium, nickel in an amount of about 0.2 to about 3.0 parts by mol, and at least one rare earth element selected from yttrium, praseodymium, neodymium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, and lutetium in an amount of about 0.6 parts to about 2.0 parts by mol.

When the total content of Zr and Ti is 100 parts by mol, the total content m of Sr and Ba meets 100≦m≦105, the Si content a meets 0.1≦a≦4.0, the Mn content b meets 0.1≦b≦4.0, the Al content c meets 0.01≦c≦3.0, the V content d meets 0.01≦d≦0.3, the molar ratio w of Sr and Ba to Sr meets 0.60≦w≦0.95, the molar ratio z of the total of Zr and Ti to Zr meets 0.92≦z≦0.98, w and y meets and the crystal grains are 1.2 μm or less in average grain size.

Abstract: A multilayer ceramic capacitor that includes a laminate which has a plurality of dielectric layers and a plurality of internal electrode layers respectively laminated. The dielectric layers are a perovskite type structure containing Ba, Sr, Zr, Ti and Hf, and optionally Ca, and further include V, wherein (number of moles of Sr)/(number of moles of Ba+number of moles of Ca+number of moles of Sr) is 0.6 to 0.95, (number of moles of Zr)/(number of moles of Zr+number of moles of Ti+number of moles of Hf) is 0.9 to 0.98, thicknesses of the dielectric layers are 1 μm or less, and an average particle size of dielectric particles constituting the dielectric layers is 0.8 μm or less.

Abstract: laminated ceramic capacitor which has favorable moisture resistance includes an inner layer section that has dielectric ceramic layers and internal electrodes stacked alternately, and outer layer sections formed outside the inner layer section. The dielectric ceramic layers have a perovskite-type compound including a main constituent containing Ca and Zr, and an additive containing Si and Mn. The average grain size in the dielectric ceramic layers constituting the outer layer sections is smaller than the average grain size in the dielectric ceramic layers constituting the inner layer section. The Si/Mn molar ratio in the dielectric ceramic near the interfaces between the internal electrodes and the dielectric ceramic layers is ≦15.
