Abstract: A light emitting device includes a first light emitting element and a first sealing member. The first light emitting element has a peak emission wavelength of 430 nm or greater and less than 490 nm. The first sealing member covers the first light emitting element, and contains a first phosphor having a peak emission wavelength of 490 nm or greater and 570 nm or less. A content of the first phosphor is 50 weight % or greater with respect to the total weight of the first sealing member. A mixed color light in which light emitted from the first light emitting element and light emitted from the first phosphor are mixed has an excitation purity of 70% or greater on a 1931 CIE chromaticity diagram.

Abstract: A light emitting device includes a resin package including a first lead, a second lead, a resin portion holding the first lead and the second lead, at least one light emitting element mounted on the resin package, and a covering member covering at least a portion of an upper surface of each of the first lead, the second lead, and the resin portion. The resin portion includes at least one resin recess between the first lead and the second lead. At least a portion of the resin recess is located between a first portion of the first lead and a second portion of the second lead in a first direction, and is located between a first extended portion of the first lead and a second extended portion of the second lead in a second direction, and at least a portion of the resin recess is covered by the covering member.

Abstract: A light emitting device includes a light emitting element, lateral walls surrounding the light emitting element, a first light-transmissive member and a light shielding member. The lateral walls includes first to fourth lateral walls. The first and second lateral walls define a first opening therebetween. The second and third lateral walls define a second opening therebetween. The third and fourth lateral walls define a third opening therebetween. The fourth and first lateral walls define a fourth opening therebetween. In the top view, a first straight line passing through the first and third openings extends in a first direction, and a second straight line passing through the second and fourth openings extends in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The first light-transmissive member is arranged on or above the light emitting element and the lateral walls. The light shielding member is arranged on or above the first light-transmissive member.

Abstract: A light emitting device includes: a base including: a first lead including: a first A surface, a first B surface opposite to the first A surface, and a first C surface located between the first A surface and the first B surface and defining at least one first protrusion, a second lead separated from the first lead, and a resin body covering the first C surface and holding the first lead and the second lead; a light emitting element disposed on the first A surface; and a protecting member disposed continuously on at least a portion of the first A surface and in at least a portion of a gap between the first protrusion and the resin body. In a cross-sectional view, the first protrusion extends from a first end portion of the first A surface at a second lead side toward the second lead.
