摘要: A method and system for utilizing a digital filter for actuator positioning control in a disk device. In accordance with the method and system of the present invention multiple selectable filter modules are provided. Each of the multiple selectable filter modules functions in a serial or parallel filtering mode when selected. Multiple configurable registers are also provided wherein the configuration of each of the multiple configurable registers determines a selection of at least one of the multiple selectable filter modules. Particular ones of the multiple configurable registers are selected, such that a configuration of the digital filter is dynamically selectable in order to achieve a predetermined filter output.

摘要: A disk drive, a servo controller, and a controller which have realized high-degree control by lightening processing load to a microprocessor unit (MPU) without increasing cost is disclosed. An analog/digital (AD) converter (ADC) performs the AD conversions of the regenerated levels A, B, C, and D of burst patterns supplied from a channel and retains the converted levels in an ADC register. A servo assist (SA) computes parameters, such as the position error of a head, independently of an MPU, based on the regenerated levels of the burst patterns retained in the ADC register and an instruction from the MPU retained in a SRAM. Based on the computed parameters, the SA computes servo data (DACOUT) for driving a voice coil motor and supplies the servo data to the DAC section of a VCM driver section through a SIO.

The storage system comprises at least one chamber having side walls and guide members disposed on the chamber side walls. The storage system further comprises partition members disposed in the chamber, the partition member comprising a body having apertures to support at least one hooked object. The partition members are supported in the chamber by at least one guide member in a substantially vertical position. A plurality of guide members may be disposed on the opposing side walls of the chamber, such that adjacent partition members may be positioned in the chamber at varying relative distances from one another to form compartments of varying sizes.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide an interface circuit that is capable of reducing the power consumption, which may be increased by a shoot-through current, and provide an electronic device having such an interface circuit. In one embodiment, an interface circuit exchanges signals with another electronic device via a signal transmission line. The interface circuit includes a switch for pulling up the signal transmission line and a switch for pulling down the signal transmission line. While a pull-up or pull-down is performed, the interface circuit detects the potential level of the signal transmission line to determine whether the signal transmission line is pulled down or pulled up by the other electronic device. If the signal transmission line is not pulled down/pulled up by the other electronic device, the interface circuit exercises pull-down/pull-up control.
