    摘要: The invention relates to a method and a transfer strip for decorating surfaces, in particular for decorating outer packagings. A transfer strip comprising a strip-like backing film (11), a decorative layer (13) and a release layer (12) arranged between the decorative layer (13) and the backing film is provided. The decorative layer (13) has a multiplicity of identical optically variable decorative elements, which are arranged in first area regions, which are separate from one another and spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the transfer strip. The decorative layer (13) has second area regions, which are separate from one another and spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the transfer strip and in which the decorative layer (13) has one or more individualizable layers for providing respectively different machine-readable optical markings. A first area region or a subregion of a first area region and a second area region or a subregion of a second area region of the decorative layer (13) is respectively transferred to a surface to be decorated. The one or more individualizable layers of the respective second area region are individualized before or during the transfer, so that, in addition to one of the optically variable decorative elements, an individualized machine-readable optical marking is transferred from the transfer strip to the surface to be decorated.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for the production of a multi-layer image, preferably a multi-color image. A transfer film which is applied to a paper substrate and which is treated with laser irradiation is used. The transfer film has a laser-sensitive layer and a background layer arranged therebeneath. The laser-sensitive layer comprises laser-sensitive material, for example laser-sensitive pigments or other laser-sensitive coloring agents. The laser-sensitive material in the layer is region-wise bleached by laser irradiation. That results in a so-called laser-induced image component. As it is transparent or partly transparent, the background layer which is arranged therebeneath and which can have a printed image then becomes visible from above in that region. That therefore gives a multi-layer image which is formed by the laser-induced image component and by the background layer jointly.

    摘要: The invention concerns an apparatus and a process for producing a marking on a substrate. Substrates marked in that way are applied to documents such as for example credit cards, personal identity cards or banknotes as security features for affording protection from forgery. Embodiments of these security features have diffractive or holographic structures. Production of the markings is produced by shaping from a mold. A change in the configuration of the marking is possible by changing the mold, which is time-consuming. The new apparatus and the new process are intended to permit the production of individualised markings on a substrate at a low level of apparatus expenditure. The new apparatus has a replication apparatus, in the form of a replication roller, having a replication surface, a device for producing a radiation and a counterpressure apparatus with a counterpressure surface, wherein a substrate is arranged between the replication surface of the replication apparatus and the counterpressure surface of the counterpressure apparatus in such a way that a shaping region of the replication surface is shaped on to the substrate in a contact region between the replication surface and the substrate.
