摘要: A knock type applicator includes a cylindrical shell having a coating liquid storage chamber, a writing tip slidably inserted into an opening portion formed in a distal end of the cylindrical shell, and a valve mechanism between the writing tip and the coating liquid storage chamber. The valve mechanism has a valve element connected to the writing tip. Ribs are formed in an inner wall of the opening portion of the cylindrical shell in a lengthwise direction of the cylindrical shell. The diameter of an inscribed circle connecting apexes of the ribs is dimensioned smaller than the maximum diameter of the writing tip. By this, the ribs bite or project into the writing tip which is advanced in combination with the valve element during knocking operation. As a consequence, the writing tip is cracked by the ribs projected therein. At that time, hardened substance, gelled substance and viscous substance created from the coating liquid in the writing tip are peeled off from the fibers of the writing tip, thus recovering an ink flow passage in the writing tip. A connecting force between the writing tip and the valve element is set smaller than a biasing force exerted to the valve element, and a joining distance between the writing tip and the valve element is set longer than a moving distance of the valve element during knocking operation. Thus, the writing tip would not escape from the valve element even if the knocking force is released by mistake when the hardened substance, gelled substance, etc. of the coating liquid is removed from the writing tip.

摘要: In an improved method of treating foul water, the solids that are produced during the process of treatment of foul water such as wastewater or liquid sludges are treated with a heat treatment apparatus and the resulting thermal energy and/or gas is utilized in the treatment of said foul water. The foul water may be subjected, directly and/or after a treatment, to a filtration step using a filter packed with nonflammable particulate matter such as sand, and the trapped solids are fed into a fluidized-bed heat treatment apparatus such as a fluidized-bed incinerator or gasification furnace and, thereafter, the nonflammable particulate matter in the heat treatment apparatus is returned to the filtration step. The foul water can be treated with effective utilization of the energy of the organic matter in the foul water or the solids that are produced during the process of its treatment.

摘要: In a computer network system having a plurality of on-line connected computer systems, each computer system has means to monitor the amount of jobs of its own computer system. Each computer system requests a job to another computer system when the amount of jobs of its own computer system is in short, and the requested computer system transfers a job to the requesting computer system if the amount of jobs of the requested computer system is enough. Each computer system also requests transfer-out of a job to another computer system when the amount of jobs of its own computer system is over, and the requested computer system accepts the request if the amount of jobs of its own computer system is not full, and the requesting computer system transfers the job to the accepting computer system. In this manner, loads to the computer systems are distributed.
