In grinding the surfaces of wafers such as silicon and similar wafers, breakage can be prevented by affixing the wafers to the adhesive layer of the processing film and then grinding them.

摘要： A process for producing a porous film having practically sufficient mechanical strengths, good flexibility, uniform fine pores and high moisture vapor permeability, and further an extremely thin porous film, which process comprises blending 30 to 80 parts by weight of an inorganic fine powder having a specific surface area of 15 m.sup.2 /g or less and an average particle size of 0.4 to 4 .mu.m with 20 to 70 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin, followed by melt-molding the resulting blend into a film and then stretching the film to 2 to 7 times the original length at least in the uniaxial direction.

摘要： A head protecting airbag is folded up to be housed at an upper part of a window of a vehicle so as to be deployed and inflated downward from the upper part of the window so as to cover an interior side of the window. In the airbag, a plurality of parallel cells adapted to be deployed and inflated by an inflating gas introduced thereinto are provided in parallel with each other below 10 a gas supply passage portion in which the inflating gas flows along a longitudinal direction. In a cell of the parallel cells so provided which is required to deploy quickly, of front and rear partitioning portions, a partitioning portion situated at an upstream side of the gas flowing in the gas supply passage portion is provided such that an end thereof which extends upward from a lower edge portion is disposed so as to form an inlet port between a distal end of a horizontal portion of a downstream side partitioning portion and itself.

摘要： A gas-permeable porous film which is prepared by stretching a film made from a mixture containing a polyolefin resin and an inorganic filler at least uniaxially and possesses a rugged pattern on its surface. One process for producing the film comprises forming the aforesaid mixture into a film, providing on the surface of the film a rugged pattern, stretching the resulting film at least uniaxially, and forming on the stretched film thus-formed a rugged pattern by means of a heated emboss roll and simultaneously allowing the stretched film to contract.

摘要： An inflation portion of an airbag, which is inflated by inflation gas, is partitioned into an upstream inflation portion and a downstream inflation portion via a partition member. When being tensioned in a planar manner, the partition member has a length in a longitudinal direction that is longer than a length in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. A pressure regulating valve that is closed at an early stage of a supply period of the inflation gas to the inflation portion and is opened from the middle of the supply period includes a slit-like inner opening that is provided on the partition member and extends in the transverse direction and a pair of valve body portions that are provided around the inner opening and are selectively positioned close to and separated from each other.

摘要： A wrapping sheet is to be torn by the inflation of an air bag. Since attachment shafts, used to hold the folded air bag in position, are projected from the air bag, an engagement portion of the wrapping sheet is fitted on the attachment shafts, and the shape of a folding completed body of the air bag is maintained. The wrapping sheet includes not only the engagement portion, but also a coupled portion to be connected to the air bag, and a folding form control portion, which has an auxiliary engagement portion to be fitted on the attachment shafts. When the auxiliary engagement portion is fitted on the attachment shafts, the shape of the air bag that is being folded is adjusted.
