    摘要: Process and apparatus for transferring a traveling material web into a target region. The process includes positioning at least two cutting mechanisms at one of a same and different width positions between web edges of a traveling material web. The at least two cutting mechanisms are movable relative to the traveling material web in a plane approximately parallel to the material web. The process also includes cutting the traveling material web at the one of the same and different width positions, thereby forming at least one resulting cut that extends approximately parallel to a web travel direction, and forming a substantially pointed beginning of a transfer strip by moving at least one of the at least two cutting mechanisms in a direction toward one of the web edges from its respective width position. In this manner, the resulting cuts of the at least two cutting mechanisms occur at one of a same and a substantially close proximity to a same width position. The apparatus includes at least two cutting mechanisms which are movable relative to the traveling material web in a plane approximately parallel to traveling material web, and the at least two cutting mechanisms are positioned to cut a transfer strip that extends approximately parallel to a web travel direction. The at least two cutting mechanisms are positionable at one of a same and different width positions between web edges of the traveling material web to produce at least one resulting cut in the traveling material web, and at least one of the at least two cutting mechanisms is movable toward an edge of the traveling web to form a pointed beginning of a transfer strip. In this manner, the resulting cuts of the at least two cutting mechanisms occur at one of a same and a substantially close proximity to a same width position.

    摘要: A doctor holder for a surface coating device or a web coating device has a guide body with a guide path channel through it. A leaf spring like doctor strip is advanced along the length of the channel and across the width of the web being coated. The doctor strip has a row of cutouts in it for enabling it to be advanced through the guide body. One of various forms of guide elements advance the doctor strip. The guide elements may be projections from an endless chain, or may be teeth of a sprocket wheel, or may be individual separate guide elements like balls and the guide elements extend into the cutouts and then into a guide groove in the guide body. The doctor strip is wound onto a reel after leaving the guide body. The guide element balls, or the like, are installed at the beginning of the guide path and are removed e.g. by an air blast, at the end of that path.

The process includes moving the new winding core between a winding roll and the wound roll, such that the material web is fed onto the wound roll from the winding roll. The process further includes forming a nip between the new winding core and the winding roll, positioning at least one cutting device one of in a region between the wound roll and the nip and in a region upstream of the winding roll relative to a web run direction, and moving the at least one cutting device relative to the material web in a plane substantially parallel to the material web. In this manner, the running material web can be completely cut. The apparatus includes at least one cutting device adapted to completely cut the material web, and the at least one cutting device can be mounted for movement relative to the material web in a plane substantially parallel to the material web.
