    摘要: Generation and use of disease models, for instance in assays to identify and investigate genes and substances involved in disease and disease treatment, identification and use of drug targets. In particular, the present invention relates to generation and use of disease models in fish such as zebrafish. Gradable phenotypes may be generated in fish, allowing for degree of correction or alteration of an activity or effect of a treatment, gene or mutation to be assayed. Competing stimuli may be applied to fish in screens assaying for ability to affect an activity or effect of a treatment, gene or mutation. Example include any combination of an addictive drug, a visual stimulus, an audible startle stimulus, a temperature gradient, an electric shock, an aversive compound, a threatening shape or a dark area.

    摘要: A modified latex drag reducer and methods of making and using the drag reducer in order to reduce friction losses resulting from turbulent fluid flow through a conduit. Particularly, the modified latex drag reducer is formed from an initial latex which is a product of an emulsion polymerization reaction. The initial latex is then modified, preferably by admixing with at least one low HLB surfactant or at least one solvent, or both, to form a modified latex with an enhanced dissolution rate in a hydrocarbon stream over the initial latex.

The visor can be removably mounted in the slide member to allow for changing the cap's visor. The slide member can move axially along the track, to allow for selective positioning of the visor on the cap. Additionally, the slide member can be an articulated slide member which allows for altering the relative angular position of the visor relative to the crown.

An example deflectable catheter system includes a housing, an orienting member, an actuator, a first elongate member, a second elongate member, and a wire member. The housing defines a passageway. The orienting member is attached to the housing. The actuator is attached to the orienting member and is moveable between an actuator first position and an actuator second position. The first elongate member is attached to the orienting member and defines a lumen. The first elongate member is moveable between a first, substantially straight configuration when the actuator is in the actuator first position and a second, curved configuration when the actuator is in the actuator second position. The second elongate member is disposed through the passageway of the housing and extends through the lumen defined by the first elongate member.
