摘要： A radio frequency identification device includes a transceiver having a resonant circuit, a rectifier, a charge pump, a state machine, and a transmitter. The resonant circuit includes an antenna and has a resonant frequency. The rectifier is coupled to the resonant circuit to provide a rectified signal in response to energy from the antenna. The charge pump is enabled in response to the rectified signal to provide a first logic signal. The state machine provides a second logic signal in response to the first logic signal. The transmitter includes an amplifier coupled to the resonant circuit to form a Colpitts oscillator that is enabled by the second logic signal to transmit a response signal for identifying the radio frequency identification device.

摘要： A Metal-Clad cable that includes at least two conductor assemblies within a metal armored sheath. Each conductor assembly has an electrical conductor, an insulation layer extending around and along the length of each of the electrical conductors, a jacket layer disposed around the insulating layer and a polymeric protective layer disposed around the jacket layer along the length of each of the electrical conductors. A grounding/bonding strip is disposed within the cable and is in intimate contact with an interior surface of the metal sheath. If a grounding conductor is used, it is either in cabled relationship with the two conductor assemblies or is disposed along the length of the electrical conductors and the metal sheath is disposed over the at least two conductor assemblies and the grounding conductor.

摘要： An object identification system includes a monitor and a plurality of transceivers that communicate over a common medium. The monitor includes a first transmitter, a first receiver, and a processor. Each transceiver includes a resonant circuit, a transmitter, a receiver, and an antenna coupled to the resonant circuit. The processor performs a method for performing transceiver communication that includes the steps of: (a) transmitting from the first transmitter a first frequency for a first duration; (b) after lapse of the first duration, receiving via the first receiver a response signal from at least one of the resonant circuits; (c) determining a second frequency from the received response signal; and (d) performing transceiver communication using the second frequency. Transceivers of the type having a resonant circuit coupled to an antenna, when operating in close proximity to each other, may interfere with the response from a single transceiver by absorbing the energy intended to be received by the transceiver, absorbing the energy transmitted by the transceiver, or altering the resonant frequency of the resonant circuit. By determining the second frequency for transceiver communication, the monitor may establish communication with the single transceiver at a frequency better suited for transferring operative power to the transceiver, conducting an interrogation protocol for identifying the transceiver, or for data transfer.
