    摘要: Method and adjusting device for varying the compression of an internal combustion engine with a cylinder receiving section (2) which is pivotably mounted in the crankcase section (4) of the engine supporting the crankshaft, about a tilting shaft bearing (8) on one side of the engine, to effect a variation in the engine compression. A tilting mechanism (70) acting between the crankcase section and the cylinder receiving section is arranged on the side of the engine opposite the tilting shaft bearing (8), enabling the distance between the two engine parts to be varied. A hydraulic adjusting device (76, 78) is connected to the tilting mechanism (70) for adjusting the lateral tilting of the cylinder receiving section (2) relative to the crankcase section (4). The adjusting device operates mainly without the supply of external driving force and uses hydraulic pressure energy stored in a pressure accumulator (96) which is charged with pressure energy derived from the compression and combustion in the engine cylinders and is transmitted to the accumulator (96) via the tilting mechanism (70) and the adjusting device (76, 78). The tilting mechanism comprises a mechanism which is rotatably mounted in the crankcase section (4) and whose variation in angular position corresponds to the variation in the distance between the cylinder receiving section and the crankcase section. The angular movement of the mechanism (56, 72) is used for varying the effective length of a hydraulic piston-cylinder arrangement (78) connected between the crankcase section (4) and the cylinder receiving section (2), the moving piston (82) of which arrangement divides the interior of the cylinder housing (80) into two variable chambers (92, 94), one (94) of which can be hydraulically connected to a reservoir (108) and the other (92) to the pressure accumulator (96).

    摘要: An arrangement for distribution of cooling liquid in the cooling liquid jacket in an internal combustion engine having cylinders disposed in-line in the cylinder block or in a bank of cylinders of the engine. The liquid jacket includes a liquid inlet chamber at one end of the row of cylinders and a liquid outlet chamber at the same end or at the opposite end of the row of cylinders and, in the cylinder block or bank of cylinders with associated cylinder head, mutually interconnected cooling liquid spaces and ducts which communicate with those chambers. In the lower portion of the cooling jacket, a liquid distribution pipe running along the row of cylinders is inserted at one side of the row of cylinders and has at one end a liquid inlet which communicates with the liquid inlet chamber. In the wall of the distribution pipe, liquid outlet holes are provided which are distributed along the distribution pipe and placed and directed in the distribution pipe wall so as to direct cooling water flows towards the cylinder tops and/or the spaces between them. These liquid outlet holes in the wall of the distribution pipe have successively increasing diameters away from the end of the row of cylinders where the liquid outlet chamber is situated. The outlet holes are preferably directed obliquely upwards toward the roof of the cooling jacket.

Thus, the control incorporates all of the most essential driving control functions. The control according to the present invention encourages the driver to select, at an early stage, those accelerator and gear-change parameters which are most advantageous to economic driving or are most suited to the prevailing traffic conditions, the control actions required involving a minimum of manual movements. The present invention also relates to an arrangement and a method of controlling servo devices for the driving of a motor vehicle, utilizing the control (13) mounted on the steering wheel.

In this connection, deflection members are arranged so that the drive belt for its driving bears against, for example, the flywheel of the engine. The deflection members are arranged so that the area enclosed by the drive belt lies outside the area which encloses the axis of rotation of the flywheel. By virtue of the fact that consequently the drive belt can be mounted without the drive belt needing to cross the axis of rotation, the belt transmission can simply be arranged at the rear side of the engine. This means that the axial extent of the engine can be reduced.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for detecting ion current in an ignition circuit included in the ignition system of an internal combustion engine, where a measuring voltage is applied to the ignition circuit and a measuring device is utilized for detecting ion current possibly present in the ignition circuit. In known solutions of this kind, it has been necessary to use comparatively expensive electronic components, usually not manufactured as standard, to protect the outside voltage source from high voltages occurring in the ignition circuit. The problems are aggravated when the prior art is applied to capacitive ignition systems. The present invention solves the problems involved in an advantageous manner and is essentially distinguished in that a constant measuring voltage is applied to the grounded connection of the ignition circuit between a secondary winding of the ignition circuit and a capacitor in the ground connection, and in that a possible ion current in the ignition circuit is detected in means, by a signal representing the ion current being taken off from the ground connection of the secondary winding.
