摘要: A method and arrangement are disclosed for attaching one or more electrical bayonet-type blades to a circuit board with the bayonets being used to receive voltage and current signals from the electric circuit of an electrical meter. The arrangement includes a circuit board with at least one opening adapted to receive one blade. In addition, a sensor is coupled with the electric circuit to sense at least one electrical parameter from the circuit and generating a corresponding analog signal. A solder pad disposed on at least one surface of board surrounds the opening. Solder is applied around the electrically conducting bayonet on one surface of the circuit board and around the electrically conducting bayonet of the surface of the circuit board opposite to the solder pad.

摘要: A system and method of synchronizing measurements between a master monitor (130 and/or 132) and a slave monitor (154 and/or 164). A system controller (110) receives master samples representing a signal characteristic from the master monitor (130 and/or 132) and slave samples representing the signal characteristic from the slave monitor (154 and/or 164). The master samples and slave samples are aligned using correlation analysis to obtain the identification of a slave sample that aligns with a predetermined master sample. This identification is transmitted to the slave monitor and used to synchronize a master measurement with a slave measurement.

摘要: This invention is concerned with the production of L-tryptophan by strains of Escherichia coli. The invention provides a host and method for growing that host such that plasmids can be stably maintained in the absence of antibiotics, leading to high productivity of tryptophan in fermentation. It offers significant improvements over previous methods and produces tryptophan free from any contamination by tyrosine an phenylalanine thus simplifying downstream processing. The E. coli strains having productivity for L-tryptophan comprise in their genome a mutant gene encoding a partially defective tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase introducing a temperature-conditional tryptophan auxotrophy in the host and further mutations on the chromosome which disable the transport systems encoded by aroP, mtr and tnaB and being transformed with a plasmid containing a tryptophan operon encoding anthranilate synthase freed from feedback-inhibition by tryptophan.

摘要: A method and apparatus for injecting coiled tubing into a submerged well. The end of a coiled tubing is latched in a tubing injector and the tubing and injector are lowered through a body of water together. The injector is latched to the well and the injector moves the coiled tubing through the well. The injector weight is exerted on the tubing during movement through the body of water. The injector may be contained in a bell type or complete enclosure and fluid in the enclosure is maintained at approximately the external pressure. The injector may be connected to a shear, a stuffing box, and a tool receiver.

摘要: An automated emergency power supply system (EPSS) and testing solution that records generator load values and engine exhaust temperature values to evaluate whether an EPSS test satisfies legislated test criteria. The EPSS test is carried out under software control, which initiates a test by instructing an automatic transfer switch (ATS) to change its status to a test status, causing the essential loads to be powered by a generator instead of a main utility power source. Power monitors record the ATS and generator status during the test as well as electrical parameter data from the ATS and generator and exhaust temperature data and other engine parameter data from the generator. When the test is concluded, the ATS is instructed to return the status to normal so that power delivery is resumed from the main power source. The electrical and engine parameter data is analyzed and compared against legislated test criteria to determine a pass/fail result of the EPSS test.

摘要: A method for determining whether or not a monitor is registered with a security service. The method includes using a device search engine to perform a search for and find a monitor. Then it is determined whether or not the found monitor is registered with the security service.
