摘要: A central venous catheter comprises an ultrasound assembly. In one arrangement, the radiating member is used to remove a blockage from the central venous catheter. In another arrangement, inserting an ultrasound assembly into a central venous catheter. The ultrasound assembly comprises an ultrasound radiating member mounted on an elongate support structure. The method further comprises positioning the ultrasound assembly within the central venous catheter such that the ultrasound radiating member is adjacent to a deposited material formed on a portion of the central venous catheter. The method further comprises supplying an electrical current to the ultrasound radiating member to expose the deposited material to ultrasonic energy. The method further comprises passing a therapeutic compound through the central venous catheter to expose the deposited material to the therapeutic compound simultaneously with ultrasonic energy.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method for treating a vascular occlusion in a patient's body comprises exposing the vascular occlusion to an external ultrasonic energy field that is generated outside the patient's body. The method further comprises positioning an ultrasound radiating member in the patient's body in the vicinity of the vascular occlusion. The method further comprises exposing the vascular occlusion to an internal ultrasonic energy field that is generated by the ultrasound radiating member. The method further comprises using the ultrasound radiating member to detect a first characteristic of the external ultrasonic energy field. The method further comprises adjusting a second characteristic of the external ultrasonic energy field based on the detected first characteristic of the external ultrasonic energy field.

摘要: A catheter system for delivering ultrasonic energy to a treatment site within a body lumen, the catheter comprises a tubular body having a proximal end, a distal end and an energy delivery section positioned between the proximal end and the distal end and a plurality of ultrasound radiating members in the energy delivery section. The plurality of ultrasound radiating members are allocated into electrical groups comprising more than one ultrasound radiating member. Members of one electrical group are spatially interdigitated with members of another electrical group.

摘要: A Stirling cycle machine control system includes an energy converter having a moving member. A detector is operatively associated with the moving member. The detector is configured to detect stroke of the moving member. A converter circuit is coupled with an output of the energy converter and is operative to convert output from AC to DC. A regulator is coupled with the converter circuit and a useful load, and is operative to regulate DC voltage. A controllably variable load member is coupled to the converter circuit and is operative to adjust load to the energy converter. Adjustment of the load to the energy converter regulates power output of the energy converter which in turn controls movement of the moving member. Control circuitry is signal coupled with the detector and the load member. The control circuitry is configured to receive a feedback signal correlated with the detected stroke of the moving member. The control circuitry is operative to dynamically adjust load on the energy converter to limit stroke of the moving member below a threshold level. A method is also provided.
