    摘要: Two network nodes may exchange messages through a relay using physical-layer network coding combined with forward error correction coding (FEC). The relay determines a prime field order based on the channel condition and communicates the field order to the network nodes. Each network node encodes an outgoing message with linear codes over a field such as finite field of the field order, and transmits a signal carrying the encoded outgoing message. The relay receives a composite signal carrying the summation of the messages from the two network nodes. The relay decodes the composite signal and extracts a composite message with linear codes over finite field of field order, and broadcasts a signal carrying the composite message. Each network node receives the signal from the relay and extracts the message intended for it using linear subtraction over finite field of field order.

    摘要: A two-way relay wireless communication method and device may combine multiple bit steams, for one source node and two target nodes, and broadcasting a network coded combined bit sequence to reduce the number of time slots for transmission. A first device may receive a signal from the source node and a target node simultaneously in a time slot. The first device may receive subsequent signals from the source node and multiple target nodes simultaneously in successive time slots. Hierarchical modulation may be applied to the received signals. The first device may decode the received signals and generate a plurality of intermediate bit sequences (IBS)s for a broadcast transmission. The generated IBSs may be grouped according to a channel condition. A second device may be configured to receive the broadcast transmission and decode a portion of the broadcast transmission that is intended for the second device.

    摘要: Detecting, avoiding and/or correcting problematic puncturing patterns in parity bit streams used when implementing punctured Turbo codes is achieved without having to avoid desirable code rates. This enables identification/avoidance of regions of relatively poor Turbo code performance. Forward error correction comprising Turbo coding and puncturing achieves a smooth functional relationship between any measure of performance and the effective coding rate resulting from combining the lower rate code generated by the Turbo encoder with puncturing of the parity bits. In one embodiment, methods to correct/avoid degradations due to Turbo coding are implemented by puncturing interactions when two or more stages of rate matching are employed.

    摘要: A method and wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) for utilizing channel control information associated with enhanced uplink (EU) transmission is disclosed. The WTRU receives information via radio resource control (RRC) signaling and receives downlink (DL) control information for at least EU transmission. The WTRU determines whether the DL control information is intended for the WTRU based at least upon a first forty bit specific code sequence and a second forty bit specific code sequence received in at least one time slot and determines whether the DL control information is the first type or the second type. The WTRU utilizes the DL control information of the first type or the second type for at least EU transmission on a condition that the DL control information is intended for the WTRU.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for applying network coding in multi-user (MU) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) control signaling are disclosed. After a pair of wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) transmit channel state information (CSI) to an evolved Node-B (eNodeB), each of the WTRUs receive network coded information from the eNodeB, including the CSI transmitted by both of the WTRUs, and decode the network coded information. The WTRUs transmit CSI on a scheduled basis, and store CSI that was previously transmitted. Each of the WTRUs measure the amount of time that pass since they transmitted CSI, and use the transmitted CSI to decode the network coded information on the condition that the measured time does not exceed a predetermined threshold. If the measured time exceeds the predetermined threshold, the stored CSI is used to decode the network coded information.
