摘要: A method includes performing a timing measurement of one or more positioning signals received at a mobile device and searching for available public land mobile networks (PLMNs) by the mobile device. The method also includes controlling the performing the timing measurement and the searching for the available PLMNs based on whether the performing the timing measurement or the searching for the available PLMNs began first and further based on a number of available receive paths on the mobile device. If the number of available receive paths can support it, timing measurements of one or more received positioning signals may be performed concurrently with searching for available public land mobile networks (PLMNs). Otherwise, if the receive paths cannot support concurrent timing measurement and PLMN searching, the PLMN search is put on hold or suspended and the timing measurements are allowed. Upon completion, the PLMN search may then begin or resume.

In one embodiment, a method at a UE may include receiving a request capabilities message from a server, determining one or more capabilities of the UE, where the one or more capabilities include at least one of information for at least one internal signaling path of the UE or information for a coverage enhancement level of the UE, sending a first response message to the server, where the first response message includes the one or more capabilities of the UE, receiving a request for location measurements from the server based at least in part on the one or more capabilities of the UE, obtaining the location measurements, and sending a second response message to the server, where the second response message comprises the location measurements.

The plurality of differential back-off values may relate to a specific absorption rate (SAR) back-off or a thermal back-off of the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device may apply the plurality of differential back-off values to a respective plurality of transmit powers associated, respectively, with the plurality of uplink carriers.

According to aspects, the UE may identify one or more subframes in which the second transmit chain is not scheduled for uplink (UL) transmissions, determine the first transmit chain is scheduled for UL transmissions during at least a portion of the identified subframes, and perform envelope tracking (ET) for a scheduled uplink transmission using, at least portions of the first and second transmit chains during the determined at least a portion of the identified subframes.
