    摘要: A process for the preparation of an allyloxytrifluoropropene derivative of the formula CF3CH═CR1(OCH2CR═CH2) wherein R1 is hydrogen, fluoro, or an allyloxy group represented by the formula —OCH2CR═CH2 wherein R is hydrogen or methyl including contacting (I) a compound represented by the formula CF3CH═CR2R3 wherein R2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chloro, and fluoro and wherein R3 is chloro or fluoro; and (ii) an allyl alcohol derivative of the formula HOCH2CR═CH2 wherein R is selected from the group consisting of: hydrogen and methyl; wherein the contacting is carried out in the presence of a base and optionally a solvent at a temperature and length of time sufficient to produce the allyloxytrifluoropropene derivative. A process for the preparation of polymers of the allyloxytrifluoropropene derivatives is also provided.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method for producing fluorinated organic compounds, including hydrofluoropropenes, which preferably comprises converting at least one compound of formula (I): CF3CFnCHmXa-m  (I) to at least one compound of formula (II) CF3CZCHZ  (II). where each X is independently Cl, F, I or Br; each Z is independently H or F; n is 1 or 2; m is 1, 2 or 3, provided that when n is 1, m is 1 or 2; a is 2 or 3, and a-m≧0. Certain embodiments include the step of reacting fluorinated C2 olefin, such as tetrafluoroethylene, with a Cl addition agent under conditions effective to produce a compound of formula (I).

    摘要: Aspects of the present invention are directed to working fluids and their use in processes wherein the working fluids comprise compounds having the structure of formula (I): wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 are each independently selected from the group consisting of: H, F, Cl, Br, and C1-C6 alkyl, at least C6 aryl, at least C3 cycloalkyl, and C6-C15 alkylaryl optionally substituted with at least one F, Cl, or Br, wherein formula (I) contains at least one F and at least one Cl or Br, provided that if any R is Br, then the compound does not have hydrogen. The working fluids are useful in Rankine cycle systems for efficiently converting waste heat generated from industrial processes, such as electric power generation from fuel cells, into mechanical energy or further to electric power. The working fluids of the invention are also useful in equipment employing other thermal energy conversion processes and cycles.
