摘要: A micro fluidics system includes a closed, expandable volume for mixing a fluid, and a flexible membrane for allowing mixing in the closed, expandable volume. The system further includes a surface having at least one channel for fluidically coupling a first side of the surface to the closed, expandable volume on a second side of the surface. The channel includes a first channel opening fluidically coupling the first side of the surface to the channel and a second channel opening fluidically coupling the channel to the closed, expandable volume. The expandable volume is defined by the flexible membrane closing the second channel opening when there is no fluid in the expandable volume.

摘要: The present invention relates to a cartridge for the detection of the presence, absence and/or amount of a target nucleotide sequence in a sample comprising one or more nucleic acid sequences. The cartridge comprises a first component and a second component being connectable to each other, the first component comprising at least a first fluid opening and a first sealing surface and the second component comprising at least a second fluid opening and a second sealing surface. Upon connection of the first and second component the first and second fluid opening are placeable in fluid communication and the first and second sealing surfaces are placeable against each other to seal the fluid communication between the first and second fluid opening. The invention is characterized in that the cartridge comprises biasing means for biasing the second sealing surface in the direction of the first sealing surface.

摘要: A micro fluidic device includes a valve/pump-unit with reduced dead volume having a substrate. The lower surface of the substrate includes two micro channels spaced apart by a valve area of the substrate that separates the two micro channels. A flexible membrane is arranged on the lower surface of the substrate facing an actuating element located in a through going cut-out of a cover element. Movement of the actuating element towards and away from the valve area of the substrate causes a pump and/or valve action of the flexible membrane area, respectively, to cause or stop a directed fluid flow between the two micro channels through a channel formed between the valve area of the substrate and the flexible membrane.

摘要: The invention relates to a coupling system that can particularly be applied for interfacing a consumable component with a sample chamber to a laboratory instrument for processing a sample fluid. The coupling system comprises a female interface module (10) integrated into the consumable component that has an elastic 5 sealing component (12) with a preformed channel (12a). Moreover, it comprises a male interface module (20) integrated into the instrument and comprising a hollow needle (23) fixed in a first section (22a) of a bush (22), wherein the flexible free end of said needle (23) is partially surrounded by a second section (22b) of the bush that limits the lateral movement of the needle. The diameter of the channel in the sealing 10 component (12) is preferably smaller than the diameter (d) of the needle (23), thus providing an airtight connection and a self-cleaning effect.
