    摘要: A method of burning a fuel with high efficiency comprises providing a combustion chamber having a combustion region, providing a natural fuel within the combustion chamber on one side of the combustion region, providing a filtered fuel, and providing a substantially cylindrical injector on an opposing side of the combustion region, the injector comprising: an exhaust port in an axial center of the injector; a notch surrounding a circumference of the injector; and a plurality of intake ports in a periphery of the injector and configured to port fluid from the notch to the combustion region. The flow of the fluid toward the center of the combustion region, while the natural fuel is burning within the combustion chamber, causes at least one vortex in which the combustible substances further burn with the air and the filtered fuel.

    摘要: A material for forming a conductive structure for a MEMS device is described, which is an alloy containing about 0.01% manganese and the remainder nickel. Data shows that the alloy possesses advantageous mechanical and electrical properties. In particular, the sheet resistance of the alloy is actually lower than the sheet resistance of the pure metal. In addition, the alloy may have superior creep and higher recrystallization temperature than the pure metal. It is hypothesized that these advantageous material properties are a result of the larger grain structure existing in the NiMn alloy film compared to the pure nickel metal film. These properties may make the alloy appropriate for applications such as MEMS thermal electrical switches for telecommunications applications.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for first drilling a hole in a workpiece by utilizing a locating jig, and then inspecting the hole to insure it is drilled to the proper diameter. There is an inspection device having an inspection probe that is pivotally mounted about a universal mounting device so that the lower inspection end of the probe is able to deflect laterally to fit in the drilled hole so as to be centered therein. This arrangement compensates for any misalignment in the positioning of the inspection apparatus relative to the earlier alignment of the drilling apparatus.

    摘要: Improvements in hole angularity gauges. Known gauges require a plug to fit precisely into the hole, or have limited accuracy and/or require multiple readings. The gauge (10) of the invention provides a tapered plug (16) that will fit snugly into holes having diameters varying from a standard within reasonable tolerances. An indicator member (42) is slidably and pivotably attached to a slider member (56) carried by member (12, 14) of which plug (16) is a part. Spring (80) biases member (42) into contact with an object (2) around the hole being tested when plug (16) is wedged into such hole. Member (42) has two spaced legs (46) having rounded bottom ends (48) that contact object (2), and an indicator arm (52) which extends up through a sleeve portion (14) of member (12, 14). When the head (54) of arm (52) protrudes from a radial slot (36) in sleeve (14), the hole being tested deviates from normal to the surface of the object (2) by more than the permissible amount.
