摘要: In a processing facility comprising a plurality processing stations each for automatically conveying products in various stages of production for controlled processing, an intelligent product transfer and conveyance system that enables uninterrupted processing of only products determined as having passed a first inspection process at an upstream processing station. The intelligent product transfer and conveyance system for a processing facility ensures a continuous flow of a plurality of good products at sufficiently high speeds from an inspection process to subsequent stations for subsequent individualized packaging. The processing facility may comprise a contact lens manufacturing line for manufacturing spherical or toric type ophthalmic contact lens products.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a process and a reactor for removing organic compounds from gas flows, in which process the said gas flow is passed through a first compartment of a multi-compartment reactor, which reactor comprises at least one first compartment and at least one second compartment, which first and second compartments are in heat exchanging relationship with each other through a joint, gas-tight wall, and in which first compartment the gas flow is heated by heat exchange with the said second compartment, passing the heated gas flow to the second compartment, further heating the gas flow entering the second compartment either by adding additional combustible gas or electric heating, and passing the heated gas through the second compartment over a catalytic oxidation catalyst to combust the organic compounds, whereby both the first and the second compartment are filled with porous sintered metal material, which is in heat exchanging relationship to the said joint wall, whereby the metal material in the second compartment is provided with the said oxidation catalyst.

摘要: The invention is directed to a process for producing hydrogen from methanol, comprising providing at least one flow of methanol and (1) catalytically converting part of the methanol or a fuel gas with air oxygen to carbon dioxide and water, while generating heat and (2) catalytically converting the methanol or the remaining part of the methanol at elevated temperature to hydrogen and carbon monoxide, followed by conversion of the carbon monoxide with water to hydrogen and carbon dioxide, wherein the heat generated in step (1) is sufficient to produce the elevated temperature required in step (2), wherein both steps (1) and (2) are carried out in a bed of sintered metal particles, the bed of sintered metal in step (2) having a surface that is catalytically active for the conversion of methanol to hydrogen, and wherein the beds of sintered metal particles are in heat exchanging relationship.

摘要: The invention is directed to a process for producing hydrogen from methanol, comprising providing at least one flow of methanol and (1) catalytically converting part of the methanol or a fuel gas with air oxygen to carbon dioxide and water, while generating heat and (2) catalytically converting the methanol or the remaining part of the methanol at elevated temperature to hydrogen and carbon monoxide, followed by conversion of the carbon monoxide with water to hydrogen and carbon dioxide, wherein the heat generated in step (1) is sufficient to produce the elevated temperature required in step (2), wherein both steps (1) and (2) are carried out in a bed of sintered metal particles, the bed of sintered metal in step (2) having a surface that is catalytically active for the conversion of methanol to hydrogen, and wherein the beds of sintered metal particles are in heat exchanging relationship.

摘要: Apparatus for performing at least one processing operation on a substrate, the apparatus being provided with at least one process chamber and a vacuum lock for the purposes of placing the substrate from the surroundings into a process chamber without the reduced pressure in the respective process chamber being lost, the vacuum lock comprising a vacuum chamber which is bounded by a number of walls and to which a vacuum pump is connected, while in one of the walls at least one supply opening is provided, and for the purpose of the or each process chamber in one of the walls a process chamber opening belonging to a respective process chamber is provided, the at least one supply opening being externally closable with an outer cover and being closable from the vacuum chamber with an inner cover. Further disclosed is an assembly of such an apparatus with a transport device for supplying substrates to a supply opening of the vacuum lock and removing same.

摘要: An embodiment of the present invention relates to an in-line process for making a thin film electronic device on a substrate. The process includes depositing a structurable layer onto a substrate and depositing photoresist material onto the structurable layer in a first pattern. The process also includes developing the photoresist material, etching the structurable layer in areas uncovered by the photoresist material and removing the remaining photoresist material. The process may be performed without intermediate exposure of the substrate to ambient air.
