    摘要： A modular printhead is provided for an inkjet printer. The printhead includes an elongate mounting member defining a channel. A plurality of elongate printhead modules is arranged end to end within the channel. Each printhead module has complementary nesting formations at either end so that adjacent printhead modules are nested together. Each printhead module includes an elongate printhead integrated circuit (IC) which is configured to print ink, and is aligned obliquely with respect to the mounting member so that adjacent printhead ICs overlap along the mounting member and provide for continuity of printing on print media which passes across the printhead.

    摘要： An ink and print media cartridge for a printer device includes a print media housing assembly configured for insertion and removal to and from the printer device, the print media housing assembly having a top molding coupled to a bottom molding and a print media storage volume defined therebetween; an ink housing assembly attached to an outer surface of the bottom molding, the ink housing assembly defining an ink chamber with the outer surface of the bottom molding; a spring provided between the top molding and the bottom molding, the spring positioned to bear on one side against the top molding and on an opposite side against print media stored in the print media storage region; and a feed mechanism provided within the print media housing, the feed mechanism having a drive gear protruding externally from the print media housing. The drive gear is positioned to engage with a complimentary drive mechanism of the printer device upon insertion of the print media housing into the printer device.

    摘要： A printhead assembly includes an elongate carrier. A plurality of printhead modules is serially positioned on the carrier. Each printhead module includes an ink supply arrangement mounted on the carrier and a printhead chip mounted on the ink supply arrangement to be fed with ink from the ink supply arrangement. A plurality of capping devices is mounted on the carrier. Each capping device is displaceable with respect to the carrier between an operative position in which the capping device caps the printhead chip and an inoperative position in which the printhead chip is uncapped.
