摘要： A hydrophilic polyurethane comprising polymerized units of: (a) a water-soluble polyol having hydroxyl functionality from two to four and a weight-average molecular weight from 800 to 16,000; and (b) an aliphatic polyisocyanate having isocyanate functionality from two to six; wherein polymerized ethylene oxide units comprise at least 85 wt % of said hydrophilic polyurethane; and wherein a product of weight fraction of polymerized ethylene oxide units and polyethylene oxide mean molecular weight is from 4,200 to 16,000.

摘要： The present invention is a composition comprising a stable aqueous dispersion of polymer particles and a sorbate ester, which is a liquid at 20° C. and has a molecular weight in the range of 125 to 500 g/mol. The composition of the present invention provides a way to enhance film formation of coatings prepared using relatively high Tg latexes without the aid of high volatile organic content (VOC) coalescents.

摘要： The present invention is a composition comprising a solution or a dispersion of polymer particles, a sorbate ester or sorbamide curing agent, and a cure modulating additive for the curing agent. The curing agent is a sorbic acid ester or a sorbamide and the cure modulating agent is a reagent capable of accelerating or attenuating the rate of cure of the curing agent. The control of cure kinetics is important for speeding up cure rates where rates are too slow or by reducing cure rates where curing too rapidly results in undesirable color formation.
