    摘要: The present invention relates to methods for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, including, but not limited to, atherosclerosis, reperfusion injury, hypertension, restenosis, arterial inflammation, thrombosis and endothelial cell disorders. Specifically, the present invention identifies the differential expression of 1419, 58765 or 2210 genes in cardiovascular disease states, relative to their expression in normal, or non-cardiovascular disease states, and/or in response to manipulations relevant to cardiovascular disease. The present invention describes methods for the diagnostic evaluation and prognosis of various cardiovascular diseases, and for the identification of subjects exhibiting a predisposition to such conditions. The invention also provides methods for identifying a compound capable of modulating cardiovascular disease. The present invention also provides methods for the identification and therapeutic use of compounds as treatments of cardiovascular disease.

The first configuration and the second configuration are complementary, such that the first and second apertures engage each other at a sealing surface, whereby analyte solution within the first receptacle passes into the second receptacle substantially without leaking at the engaged first and second apertures. A method for processing an analyte comprises engaging the first and second receptacles at the sealing surface; putting a first batch of analyte solution into the first receptacle, processing the analyte solution; transferring the processed analyte solution into the second receptacle, and disengaging the second receptacle from the first receptacle.

The detectors include internal communications interfaces so they are easy to read. Different interfaces, including wired, e.g. USB ports, and wireless interfaces, may be used, so that the dosimeters may be read over the internet. The detectors can thus be deployed or used in a variety of detection systems and screening methods, including periodic or single time screening of people, objects, or containers at a location by means of affixed dosimeters; screening of objects, containers or people at a series of locations by means of affixed dosimeters, and surveillance of an area by monitoring moving dosimeters affixed to people or vehicles.

    摘要: An inlet assembly for introducing a sample into a carrier gas stream for gas chromatography is disclosed including a housing having a bore that receives a liner. A sealing member having a core with a surface layer is positioned within the bore in sealing engagement with the bore and the liner. The surface layer of the sealing member has a lower adhesion to the housing than the core. The surface layer facilitates removal of the sealing member and the liner from the bore. A method of replacing an existing liner in an inlet assembly for chromatography is also disclosed. The method includes providing a liner with a sealing member having a core with a surface layer having a lower adhesion to the housing than the core, removing the existing liner from the bore and inserting a new liner with a new sealing member into the bore.
