    摘要: Biochemical flow cells having sealed inlets and outlets are provided for performing high-volume assays on macromolecules. In one example embodiment, a flow cell with detachable inlet and outlet connectors comprises an inlet manifold, a coverslip, and a substrate disposed below the coverslip to form a reaction chamber, where the substrate is disposed to partially cover the inlet manifold such that a slit is formed along an entire edge of the substrate where fluids can flow from the inlet manifold through the slit, around substantially the entire edge of the substrate, and into the reaction chamber at equalized pressure and without bubbles. In another embodiment, a flow cell comprises an outlet manifold, two or more flow regions each connected to its own loading port via its own flow distribution funnel, each loading port connected to the outlet manifold, and plugs in a wall of the outlet manifold opposite each loading port, such that when a plug is absent from the wall of the outlet manifold, a loading tip may be inserted in its place, passing through the outlet manifold and connecting directly to a loading port.

The support element has a fluid duct, and for mechanical connection of the fluid duct with the fluid duct of the sensor a bonding layer, which extends over a portion of a surface of the support element and over a portion of a surface of the sensor. The bonding layer comprises at least one fluorinated polymer. The support element has for connection of the fluid duct of the support element with the fluid duct of the sensor, in each case, at least one connection element, which protrude from the support element perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis and which protrude inwardly into the fluid duct of the sensor. The connection elements are secured at least to a the sensor by means of a bonding layer, and wherein the bonding layer comprises a fluorinated polymer.

The sample holder 20 comprises a sliding seal 25 within a reservoir. The sliding seal 25 is displaceable within the reservoir 15 by means of a fluid pressure differential and includes a valve 260 operable when the sliding seal reaches or substantially reaches an end of its displacement, said valve including a stem 251 having a tapered portion 259 for cooperating with a tapering aperture 262 having a complementary taper, for substantially preventing fluid flow when so cooperating, said stem 251 being displaceable away from said aperture 262 and out of said cooperation at said end of its displacement, to open the valve 260.

    摘要: A fluidic connection system may comprise a port which includes a capillary tube receptacle with an end seal face and a threaded wall. The fluidic connection system may also comprise a capillary tube that includes a front end face for sealingly abutting against the end seal face of the port. On the capillary tube, a flange may be affixed at a distance from the front end face of the capillary tube. The fluidic connection system may further comprise a fitting nut that includes an axial hole to allow the capillary tube to pass therethrough and a matching threaded wall corresponding to the threaded wall of the port. The fitting nut may be slidably coupled with the capillary tube behind the flange. The distance at which the flange is affixed may be predetermined such that when the flange is pushed forward by the fitting nut, the front end face of the capillary tube abuts directly against the end seal face of the port.
