摘要: A method for operating an infrastructure equipment forming part of a wireless communications network is provided. The wireless communications network comprises a base station and a non-terrestrial network part, the non-terrestrial network part transmitting one or more spot beams to provide a wireless access interface for transmitting signals to and receiving signals representing data from a communications device within a coverage region of a cell or one of the spot beams, the spot beam forming a cell. The method comprises transmitting, to the communications device, an indication of a first condition to be met before the communications device should transmit assistance information to the infrastructure equipment, receiving the assistance information from the communications device upon the first condition being met, determining, based on the assistance information, that a cell change of the communications device should be initiated, and initiating the cell change of the communications device.

摘要: A communications device includes receiver circuitry, transmitter circuitry, and controller circuitry controlling the transmitter circuitry and the receiver circuitry to receive data in accordance with an automatic repeat request (ARQ) type protocol in which the data is received as a plurality of encoded data packets encoded with an error correction code and the transmitter circuitry transmits a feedback signal depending on whether each of the data encoded packets is estimated as having been decoded successfully by the receiver circuitry. The controller circuitry is configured to evaluate a quality measure of each encoded data packet and in response to the evaluated quality measure to transmit an early indication of the feedback signal to the wireless communications network, before the encoded data packet has been decoded by the error correction decoder.

The communications device is configured to perform measurements for evaluating a quality of the plurality of cells including one or more beams on signals received from each of the detected beams, to determine from the evaluation of each of the cells, and if one or more of the cells satisfies predetermined conditions to perform a process for identifying one or more of the cells which should be used by the communications device for transmitting data.

摘要: A method of transmitting blocks of data in a wireless telecommunications system in which blocks of data are transmitted a plurality of times. When a first block of data becomes available for transmission an initial selection of transmission resources for a plurality of transmissions of the first block of data in a corresponding plurality of time periods is made, and transmissions of the first block of data are started. While there are still transmissions of the first block of data which remain to be made, a second block of data becomes available for transmission. In response to this, the initial selection of transmission resources for the remaining repeat transmissions of the first block of data is modified to increase the amount of resource available for transmitting the second block of data during the time periods in which repeat transmissions of the first block of data remain to be made.

摘要: A transmitter for transmitting data to communications devices via a wireless access. The transmitter including modulator circuitry configured to receive modulation symbols of a segment and to rotate each modulation symbol by an angle dependent on a choice of modulation scheme, and receive each of the segments of rotated modulation symbols and for each segment to separate real and imaginary components of the rotated modulation symbols for the segment and to interleave the real components of the rotated modulation symbols of the segment differently to the imaginary components of the rotated modulation symbols of the segment. The circuitry also is configured to re-combine the real and imaginary interleaved components of the rotated modulation symbols of each segment and to form from the real and imaginary components modulation cells.
