Abstract: According to one general aspect, a system may include a plurality of data nodes. Each data node may include either or both of a first storage medium and a second storage medium that is slower than the first storage medium. Each data node may be configured to store a piece data in either the first storage medium or the second storage medium. The system may be configured to store a plurality of copies of an active piece of data within two or more data nodes. A fast copy of the active piece of data may be stored by a first storage medium of a first data node. One or more slow copies of the active piece of data may be stored by respective second storage mediums of one or more respective other data nodes.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display, a communication circuit, a processor operatively connected to the display and the communication circuit, and a memory operatively connected to the processor. The memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to receive information about a time interval and user interface information, which are associated with a response to a user utterance input to a first external electronic device, from a second external electronic device through the communication circuit, to determine whether the display is in an active state within the time interval, and to provide a first user interface corresponding to the user interface information through the display based on the determination that the display is in the active state within the time interval.

Abstract: Disclosed are an electronic device and method for detecting the proximity of an object. In an embodiment, the electronic device includes a communication module, a sound emitter, a sound receiver, and a processor. The processor receives at least one part of a voice signal from a calling party through the communication module, and determines whether there is a voice idle time in the at least one part of the voice signal. When the voice idle time is present in the at least one part of the voice signal, the processor outputs a sound wave in an inaudible frequency band through the sound emitter during the voice idle time. Then the processor receives, through the sound receiver, sound wave in the inaudible frequency band reflected from an object. Next, the processor may detect whether the object is proximate to the electronic device using the reflected sound wave in the inaudible frequency band.
