摘要: The perimeter comprises a display device 1, infrared light-emitting diodes 2, a CCD camera 3, a half mirror 4, an image processing device 5, a computer 6, and an operating switch 7. The computer 6 shows a fixed eye-target for fixing a line of sight of a subject and a light stimulus eye-target for giving a light stimulus to a pupil of the subject at a plurality of predetermined positions on the display device 1. The infrared light-emitting diodes 2 irradiate infrared light to an eye of the subject. The CCD camera 3 takes an image of the eye of the subject using the infrared light irradiated from the infrared light-emitting diodes 2. The image processing device 5 detects a pupil diameter of the subject based on the image taken by the CCD camera 3. The computer 6 measures a visual field of the subject based on the change of the pupil diameter of the subject detected by the image processing device 5. The feature of the present invention resides in that the display device 1 comprises a display device capable of adjusting background luminance of a screen and brightness of the light stimulus eye-target separately.

摘要: A body fat measuring device comprises electrodes brought into contact with the waist portion of a subject, an optical sensor composed of a light applying section and a light receiving section, an impedance computing section for computing the impedance between the electrodes, a subcutaneous fat thickness computing section for computing the thickness of the subcutaneous fat of the subject from the value detected by the optical sensor, and a body fat computing section which subtracts the amount of subcutaneous fat determined using the thickness of the subcutaneous fat computed by the subcutaneous thickness computing section from the total fat amount of the subject determined using the impedance computed by the impedance computing section so as to determine the visceral fat amount of the subject. With this, not only the accuracy of measurement of the visceral fat amount is improved but also the visceral fat amount of the subject can be easily computed even without a database.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a water purification and dispensing apparatus which receives power through induction to eliminate the presence of exposed electrical contacts terminals. The water dispenser includes a motor driven pump, a water storage area, a rechargeable battery and a nozzle, such that water is pumped from the water storage area out through the nozzle. Two electrodes are provided in either the water storage area or a separate tank for purifying water placed therein. When the dispenser and/or purifying tank is mounted on a base, inductors in the base, the dispenser, and the tank connect via mutual inductance such that power supplied by the base is received by the dispenser and tank. Since power transfers magnetically, there are no exposed contact points which could corrode and/or short if water is accidentally spilled thereon.

摘要: An inverter power supply having a DC source, a transformer having a primary winding, a secondary winding, and a feedback winding, an L-C resonant circuit of a capacitor and the primary winding, and a self-excited oscillator. The oscillator includes an L-C resonant circuit and an FET connected in series with the primary winding across the DC source to generate a high frequency voltage across the primary winding, a feedback voltage across the feedback winding and a resulting output AC voltage across the secondary winding. A biasing capacitor is connected in parallel with a series combination of the L-C resonant circuit and the FET across the DC source to be charged thereby. The biasing capacitor is also connected in series with the feedback winding to provide an offset voltage which is additive to the feedback winding to give a bias voltage applied to a gate of the FET so as to alternately turn on and off the FET for driving the self-excited oscillator. A current sensor is provided to sense a current flowing through FET and gives a first level signal indicative of the sensed current being fed to the resonant circuit. Extending across the biasing capacitor is a single discharge path which does not go through the FET. A switching transistor is inserted in the single discharge path and is caused to turn on, upon the first level signal exceeding a threshold level, to discharge the biasing capacitor to a level for maintaining the offset voltage at a constant level during continued oscillation of the L-C resonant circuit.
