An electronic paper printer 1 has a describing head 3 for describing display patterns on electronic paper 2 capable of having display patterns rewritten thereto and erased therefrom, using electrophoresis, an erasing head 4 for erasing display patterns described on the electronic paper 2, a drive mechanism (not shown) for driving the describing head 3 and the erasing head 4 so that they turn, and a conveyor mechanism (not shown) for conveying the electronic paper 2.     摘要: A thin film device fabrication method in which a thin film device formed on a substrate are transferred to a primary destination-of-transfer part and then the thin film device is transferred to a secondary destination-of-transfer part. A first separation layer (120) made of such a material as amorphous silicon is provided on a substrate (100) which allows passage of laser. A thin film device (140) such as TFTs are formed on the substrate (100). Further, a second separation layer (160) such as a hot-melt adhesive layer is formed on the thin film devices (140), and a primary destination-of-transfer part (180) is mounted thereon. The bonding strength of the first separation layer is weakened by irradiation with light, and the substrate (100) is removed. Thus, the thin film device (140) is transferred to the primary destination-of-transfer part. Then, a secondary destination-of-transfer part (200) is attached onto the bottom of an exposed part of the thin film device (140) via an adhesive layer (190). Thereafter, the bonding strength of the second separation layer is weakened by such means as thermal fusion, and the primary destination-of-transfer part is removed. In this manner, the thin film device (140) can be transferred to the secondary destination-of-transfer part (200) while maintaining layering relationship with respect to the substrate (100).

The method includes a step of forming a first cleaving layer, a first intermediate layer, and a first transferred layer on a first translucent substrate and forming a second cleaving layer, a second intermediate layer, and a second transferred layer on a second translucent substrate. The method further includes a step for bonding of the first transferred layer to a transferring-side substrate on the side away from the first translucent substrate, with a first adhesive layer provided therebetween; a step for irradiating the first cleaving layer with illuminating light so as to form intralayer and/or interfacial cleavage in the first cleaving layer by ablation and then detaching the first transferred layer from the first translucent substrate to transfer the first transferred layer onto the transferring-side substrate; a step for bonding of the second transferred layer to the first transferred layer on the side away from the translucent substrate with a conductive adhesive layer provided therebetween; and a step for irradiating the second cleaving layer with the illuminating light as above, and then detaching the second transferred layer from the second translucent substrate to transfer the second transferred layer onto the first transferred layer.

    摘要: A display is provided which is constructed with a plurality of display blocks linked together so as to be continuous in the vertical direction. Each display block comprises a display portion having a flat rectangular shape with a plurality of pixels which emit light using organic EL elements, arranged over the entire face in a matrix, and a terminal portion provided continuous with one of the short sides of the display portion for relaying signals or power from the outside to each pixel. Each display block is attached on a transparent substrate via a transparent adhesive so that the long sides of the display portion are contacted and are vertically continuous. The display surface of the display portion (the surface on the side which the emitted light in the organic EL element illuminates) faces towards the transparent substrate side. As a result, the light from the display portion shines from the surface of the transparent substrate to the outside.
