Abstract: Conductor layers 2A and insulating layers 4A are alternately stacked so as to prepare a base material 17. A plurality of grooves 18 having a predetermined width are formed in a surface of the base material 17 in such a manner that these plural grooves 18 are located parallel to each other along a stacking layer direction in order to form a coil inner peripheral portion. Embedding materials 5 are filled into the grooves 18. Surfaces 16 of the base material into which the embedding materials 5 have been filled are flattened by polishing. The conductor layers 2A located adjacent to each other are connected to each other, so that helical coils which constitute inductive elements are constructed. Then, both the front plane and the rear plane of the resultant base material are covered by an insulating layer, which is cut so as to obtain respective chips.

Abstract: An electrostatic protection component includes: a body in which a plurality of ceramic substrates is laminated; and a pair of discharge electrodes which are formed within the body and which are spaced to face each other. The discharge electrodes include main body portions extending along a longitudinal direction, and the main body portions include tips in the longitudinal direction and side edges extending along the longitudinal direction. The pair of discharge electrodes are arranged such that both the main body portions are adjacent to each other in a short direction. The discharge electrodes face each other in the short direction between the side edges, and discharge occurs only between the side edges, between the discharge electrodes.

Abstract: A vehicle braking system includes a master cylinder for producing an upstream hydraulic pressure corresponding to an operation given to a brake operation part, a shut-off valve provided between the master cylinder and a wheel cylinder, a hydraulic-pressure source for producing a downstream hydraulic pressure between the shut-off valve and the wheel cylinder in a close instruction receiving condition of the shut-off valve, and a controller for setting a target value of the downstream hydraulic pressure based on an operation amount and controlling the downstream hydraulic pressure based on the target value. According to the vehicle braking system, a driver is prevented from feeling discomfort through a brake operation without an increase in a power consumption of a shut-off valve provided between the master cylinder and the wheel cylinder.

Abstract: An operation portion and a switch portion of a push button switch are removably coupled. The switch portion includes a contact opening mechanism having a rotatably supported lever and a spring. The lever has one end acting on a part of the operation portion coupled with the switch portion, and the other end acting on a contact switching mechanism of the switching contact unit in the switch portion to open/close the contacts. The spring urges the lever in a fixed rotation direction. The contact switching mechanism is urged to move a movable contact from a standby state position toward an operating state position by the contact opening mechanism when the switch portion is separated from the operation portion. The contact switching mechanism is released from the urging when the switch portion is coupled with the operation portion.
