摘要: There is provided an endoscope and an endoscope flexible section that can secure bending rigidity and have the resistance against high temperature-and-pressure steam during sterilization. The endoscope flexible section includes a spiral tube, a net-like tube, and an outer cover member. The spiral tube is formed by winding a belt-like member made of metal, in a spiral shape. The net-like tube is formed in an annular shape on the periphery of the spiral tube by braiding thin metal wires. The outer cover member is formed on the periphery of the net-like tube. In the outer cover member, a polyparaxylene resin layer is formed in a pattern on the periphery of a cover layer that covers the periphery of the net-like tube and is made of fluororubber. The polyparaxylene resin layer is a pattern of the plural rings that are disposed in a circumferential direction at predetermined intervals.

摘要: An insertion assisting device includes a rotary body in the form of toroid, and a support and drive part for supporting the rotary body in a rotatable manner and rotating it. The support and drive part has an approximately cylindrical supporting member for supporting the rotary body in a rotatable manner. The rotary body is provided with a convex portion for increasing the thickness to improve the strength thereof. A concave portion having a shape corresponding to the shape of the convex portion is formed on a portion of a front end surface of the supporting member, which is made in contact with the convex portion. The concave portion prevents the rotary body from stopping rotating, which may be caused by point contact between the convex portion and the supporting member.

摘要: A propulsion assembly for an endoscope having a section of an elongated tube for entry in a tube of a body cavity is provided. The propulsion assembly includes a shaft sleeve, an endless track device, a support sleeve and a control wire. A first bevel gear is supported on the shaft sleeve, secured to a distal end portion of the control wire, for rotating about a first axis extending in an axial direction of the elongated tube upon rotation of the control wire. A second bevel gear is supported on the shaft sleeve in a rotatable manner about a second axis extending in a transverse direction of the elongated tube, meshed with the first bevel gear, engaged with the endless track device, for moving the endless track device in the axial direction. Preferably, the first bevel gear has a diameter smaller than a diameter of the second bevel gear.

摘要: An endoscope includes a section of an elongated tube for imaging an object by entry in a body cavity. For use with this, a guide assembly includes a shaft sleeve for mounting on the elongated tube by reception thereof. A housing sleeve is supported around the shaft sleeve. Three endless belts are secured to the housing sleeve, for endlessly moving in an axial direction of the elongated tube, and propelling the elongated tube by contacting a cavity wall of the body cavity. A drive sleeve is contained in the housing sleeve, for driving the endless belts. Side projections as side rail portions are disposed on the housing sleeve, for covering lateral side portions of each of the endless belts at least partially, to keep the endless belts slidable. Preferably, the side projections cause curving of a center portion of the endless belts outwards with respect to a transverse direction.

摘要: A guide assembly of a self-propelled type for an endoscope including an elongated tube for entry in a body cavity is provided. First and second self-propelled units are mounted on a steering device of the elongated tube in an axial direction thereof, for contacting a wall of the body cavity for propulsion. The first and second self-propelled units include respectively first and second driving devices, actuated with force by an external drive source, for converting the force for the propulsion. The first self-propelled unit includes a first torque coil structure for transmitting the force from the drive source to the first driving device. The second self-propelled unit includes a second torque coil structure for transmitting the force from the drive source to the second driving device discretely from the first torque coil structure. The first self-propelled unit is fixedly mounted on the steering device.

摘要: If an instruction indicating advance is input, first and second motors are driven to rotate first and second torque wires. A rotary body is circulated by the rotation of the first and second torque wires, and a propelling unit advances. The first and second TGs detect the rotating speeds of the first and second torque wires. If disconnection of the first torque wire is detected by a disconnection detecting section, a motor control section stops driving of the first motor coupled to the disconnected first torque wire, and rotates the second motor coupled to the second torque wire that is not disconnected at a low speed to rotate the second torque wire at a low speed. Through the low-speed rotation of the second torque wire, the propelling unit advances at a low speed or retreats at a low speed.

摘要: A guide assembly for an endoscope includes a shaft sleeve, barrel sleeve, support sleeve and endless track device for propulsion by endlessly moving in an axial direction of an elongated tube. A rotation wheel is supported on the barrel sleeve, for driving the endless track device by rotating. An idler roller is supported on the support sleeve in a rotatable manner, for keeping the endless track device movable in cooperation with the rotation wheel. A small diameter portion is formed with two axial ends of the rotation wheel by decreasing a wheel diameter thereof along a wheel axis, for allowing leaving of the idler roller from the rotation wheel upon rotationally shifting the support sleeve around the barrel sleeve, so that the endless track device is released from tight contact therewith, and separated from the barrel sleeve in the axial direction with the support sleeve.

摘要: A guide assembly of a self-propelled type for an endoscope having an elongated tube for entry in a body cavity is provided. First and second self-propelled units are secured to a steering device provided in the elongated tube, arranged in an axial direction of the elongated tube, the second self-propelled unit receiving force for driving from an external drive source. A flexible connector connects the second self-propelled unit to the first self-propelled unit and transmits the force applied to the second self-propelled unit to the first self-propelled unit. Preferably, the connector includes at least two coil springs having diameters different from one another, and combined in such a multi layer form that winding directions thereof are opposite to one another. The force is torque in a rotational direction about an axis of the axial direction.

摘要: An insertion and extraction assisting device of an endoscope has a promotion unit attached on the front end side of the endoscope and a transmission section whose one end is connected to a promotion unit, and the other end is drawn along the endoscope, and an outside unit. The other end of the transmission section is connected to the outside unit, and rotational force or a turn signal from the outside unit is transmitted to the promotion unit, so that driving force is generated by the promotion unit. When the other end of the transmission section is connected to, the outside unit reads an ID code expressing a kind of the promotion unit and controls the rotational force or the turn signal to send to the promotion unit.
