摘要： An optical sound recording system of modified variable area type, wherein a light beam, preferably a laser beam, is pulse-width modulated in response to sound signals and deflected at a high frequency beyond audible range and then recorded on a sound track of cinema film. The pulse-width modulation of the light beam is performed in such a manner that a carrier wave having the same frequency, phase, and wave form to those of the deflection of the light beam and being clipped on both sides of amplitude by a pair of sound signals polarized inversely with each other and biased positively and negatively is used for gating the light beam. Consequently a high quality optical sound recording system unrelated to the carrier waveform used for the pulse-width modulation can be realized.

摘要： A labeled nucleic acid probe comprising a single-stranded oligonucleotide probe having a nucleic acid sequence complementary to a specific nucleic acid sequence in a target nucleic acid and an intercalating fluorochrome bound to said probe is used to detect the target nucleic acid by a convenient, single-stage method in a homogeneous system. The formation of a complementary bond between the probe and the target nucleic acid can be detected and the amount of the resulting complementary binding product determined without requiring any extra step such as for removing the excess probe which has not participated in the complementary binding.

摘要： Disclosed are a metal processing lubricating oil composition and a process for producing the same. A metal processing lubricating oil composition according to this invention comprises mineral oil, synthetic oil or a mixture thereof, and phosphoric ester and orthophosphoric acid mixed and heated in the mineral oil, synthetic oil or mixture thereof. The lubricating oil composition gets rid of the tiresome pre-treatment associated with the conventional lubricating method, and exhibits a high seizure prevention performance in cold plastic working only by coating it on workpieces. The lubricating oil composition may further comprise metallic phosphate to suppress corrosivity against ferrous materials.
