A storage system is configured to backup its file system by taking a first static image of the file system at a point in time. A clone of the first image may then be produced, the clone containing any subsequent changes to the file system and a reference pointer to the first image. A second static image of the clone is then produced. An application may request, from the storage system, an image of the file system. In response, the second static image may be presented to the application as a simulated dynamic image.

According to a computer-implemented approach for managing and chartering readily transportable watercraft, vessels, vehicles and other charter craft, customers are able to view and specify where they wish to charter such craft independent of where a charter craft might be permanently stored or regularly parked, berthed or moored. According to the approach, customers provide their desired charter location where they would like to charter craft. Customers are then provided in response with a list of matching locations and charter rates for one or more charter craft to be delivered at the desired charter location. After completing charter arrangements, the charter operator delivers to the customer their selection of charter craft to the specified charter location and upon completion of the charter, also retrieves the charter craft from an agreed upon retrieval location. The charter operator may be either centralized or distributed and may be a single or multiple organization(s).

Designs of devices having digital phase locked loop (DPLL) circuits that include multiple digital feedback loops to generate high frequency clock signals by a digitally controlled oscillator (DCO). A time-to-digital converter (TDC) module is provided in such a DPLL circuit to receive an input reference clock signal and a first feedback clock signal from a first digital feedback loop and produces a digital TDC output indicative of a first phase error caused by a difference in time between the input reference clock signal and the first feedback clock signal. A second digital feedback loop is provided to generate a second digital feedback signal indicative of a second phase error caused by a difference in frequency between a desired clock signal and a generated clock signal generated by the DCO. The first and second digital feedback loops are coupled to the DCO to generate the high frequency clock signals.

Methods of operating a computer storage system where an identical copy of a mirror source filesystem is maintained on a mirror destination storage volume managed by a mirror destination server. A modification to the mirror source filesystem is planned and executed, and a corresponding change to the mirror destination filesystem is accomplished by storing data directly to the mirror destination storage volume, bypassing filesystem logic that interprets the data stored on the volume. Systems that implement these methods are also described.

High precision continuous time gmC BPF (Band Pass Filter) tuning. A novel approach is presented by which a continuous time signal serves as a BPF control voltage for tuning of a BPF within a communication device (e.g., transceiver or receiver). A PLL (Phase Locked Loop) tunes the center frequency of the BPF using this continuous time signal, and the PLL oscillates at the center frequency of the BPF. The BPF is implemented as a gmC (transconductance-capacitance) filter, and the PLL is implemented using a number of gm (transconductance) cells as well. The PLL's gm cells and the BPF's gm cells are substantially identical in form. All of these gm cells are operated within their respective linear regions. This similarity of gm cells within the PLL and the BPF provide for substantial immunity to environmental perturbations including temperature and humidity changes as well as fluctuations of power supply voltages.
