摘要： An electrophotographic imaging member containing a supporting substrate having an electrically conductive surface comprising charge injecting material, a charge blocking layer including a water insoluble high molecular weight unmodified hydroxy methacrylate polymer and at least one photoconductive layer, the charge blocking layer having a surface resistivity greater than about 10.sup.10 ohm/sq. This imaging member may be employed in an electrostatographic imaging process.

摘要： A process for preparing a device containing a continuous, semi-transparent conductive layer including providing a substrate, applying to the substrate a coating containing a dispersion of conductive particles having an average particle size less than about 1 micrometer and having an acidic or neutral outer surface in a basic solution containing a film forming polymer dissolved in a solvent, and drying the coating to remove the solvent and form the continuous, semi-transparent conductive layer. The article prepared by this process may be used in an electrophotographic imaging process.

摘要： Controllably conductive polymer compositions may be used in electrophotographic imaging developing systems, such as scavengeless or hybrid scavengeless systems or liquid image development systems. The conductive polymer compositions includes a charge-transporting material (particularly a charge-transporting, thiophene-containing polymer or an inert elastomeric polymer, such as a butadiene- or isoprene-based copolymer or an aromatic polyether-based polyurethane elastomer, that additionally comprises charge transport molecules) and a dopant capable of accepting electrons from the charge-transporting material. The invention also relates to an electrophotographic printing machine, a developing apparatus, and a coated transport member, an intermediate transfer belt, and a hybrid compliant photoreceptor comprising a composition of the invention.

摘要： A process for preparing a toner donor roll having an integral electrode pattern involving: (a) providing a cylindrically shaped insulating member; (b) coating the insulating member with a photo or thermally sensitive composition comprised of a polymeric material and a conductive metal nucleating agent; (c) patterning the composition, resulting in a first composition portion corresponding to the electrode pattern and a second composition portion; and (d) depositing conductive metal on the first composition portion, resulting in the electrode pattern which is capable of being electrically biased to detach toner particles from the donor roll. In an alternative embodiment, there is provided an insulating member comprised of an insulating polymeric material and a conductive metal nucleating agent.
