    摘要: Embodiments described herein provide enhanced methods, techniques, and methods of treatment for consistently correcting facial asymmetries caused by gestational position of a fetus in utero using an improved method of treatment based upon facial asymmetry grading. With SSM, the patient is evaluated to determine whether their facial asymmetries are a result of FLT; and assuming so, a determination is made as to the severity of the asymmetries based upon the asymmetry severity scale guide. Based upon the determined severity and type of asymmetry, the injector performs an SSM plan that consistently corrects such asymmetries by injecting more filler to the more contoured side of the face as opposed to the heavier side, and in consistent amounts and to certain locations.

In certain embodiments, the gluteal implant includes a body having a convex upper surface, a concave lower surface, and an edge, the edge being formed by the intersection between the convex upper surface and the concave lower surface.     摘要: A mesh assembly for cosmetic surgery that can be used for tissue lifting is proposed. The mesh assembly includes: a mesh sleeve that includes a multiple number of helical string members, which are entwined in intersecting directions to form a passage having a particular diameter within the mesh sleeve; a core that extends along a first direction and is positioned within the passage; and a protrusion that protrudes from the outer perimeter of the core in a direction inclined towards one side and extends through a gap between the string members to the outside of the mesh sleeve. The mesh assembly can have a drastically greater strength compared to a regular surgical thread and can also be joined to the surgical site with high strength, thus providing greater utility in procedures such as tissue lifting.

    摘要: Ear implants for auricular tissue reconstruction in a patient are provided. The ear implant may be a tissue scaffold multicomponent assembly for reconstruction of auricular tissue. Thus, the assembly may include both a first and a second tissue scaffold component. Each comprises a biocompatible polymeric material having a plurality of open pores configured to support cell growth. The first tissue scaffold component defines a central void region and at least a portion of an outer ear framework of the patient after implantation. The second tissue scaffold component defines a base portion. After implantation into the patient, the second tissue scaffold component seats within the central void region of the first tissue scaffold component, so that the second tissue scaffold component is secured to the first tissue scaffold component. Methods for reconstructing auricular tissue in a patient using such ear implant tissue scaffolds are also provided.

    摘要: Disclosed herein are patient-specific facial or craniofacial implants structured for filling bone voids in the cranium and face as well as for simultaneously providing soft tissue reconstruction and/or augmentation for improved aesthetic symmetry and appearance of face and skull. Pterional or temporal voids or defects generally result from a chronic skull or lateral facial deformity along with a compromised temporalis muscle or soft tissue distortion from previous surgery. When muscle atrophy occurs in the pterion or temporal face, temporal hollowing deformity generally results where there would be soft tissue but for the atrophy. The patient-specific temporal implants with dual-purpose herein are configured to have an augmented region adjacent the temporal region of the face and cranium in order to prevent and/or correct any such temporal hollowing deformity.
