    摘要: A motor-operated fan apparatus is made up of a brushless motor and a centrifugal fan. The brushless motor has: a rotary shaft vertically disposed on a substrate in a rotatable manner; a stator disposed coaxially with the rotary shaft; and a rotor integrally disposed on the rotary shaft. The centrifugal fan has: a disk part which covers the brushless motor and is fixed to the rotary shaft; and a multiplicity of vane parts which are disposed so as to be elongated from an outer edge of the disk part. A ventilation control member is provided in a space between the rotor and the disk part to block the air flowing from the substrate side to the space between the rotor and the disk part.

    摘要: A brushless motor for a blower fan unit is comprised of a heat sink which has a heat radiating portion and a pair of supporting legs extending from both opposite sides of the heat radiating portion. A free end portion of each supporting leg is in contact with an electric circuit board. A pressing member has a pressing portion, a pair of positioning portions perpendicularly extending from opposite end portions of the pressing portion, and a pair of connecting portions projecting from the pair of positioning portions respectively. The connecting portions are engaged with supporting legs of the heat sink respectively. The pressing portion presses switching devices to the heat sink. The positioning portions are inserted into the through-holes of the electric circuit board respectively.

    摘要: An arrayed waveguide grating type optical multiplexer/demultiplexer including an arrayed waveguide grating having a plurality of channel waveguides. Concave end faces of input-side and output-side slab waveguides are connected to opposite ends of the diffraction grating. At least one input waveguide and at least one output waveguide are connected to the other concave end faces of the input-side and output-side slab waveguides, respectively. The focal length of the output-side slab waveguide end face is longer than the focal length of the input-side slab waveguide end face. The optical multiplexer/demultiplexer has a sufficiently flat wavelength-dependent spectrum response in passing channel spacings, and helps construct an optical wavelength multiple communication system having a good signal-to-noise ratio.

    摘要: An optical line monitoring method and an apparatus for locating a failure point in an optical communication system, wherein a plurality of types of inspection light rays having wavelengths which are determined by cut-off wavelengths, which differ from each other, of short-wavelength pass filters installed at a plurality of branched ports of an optical coupler/splitter of the communication system are sent from a light source having variable wavelengths into one or more corresponding optical fiber lines of the system in sequence via an optical directional coupler and the optical coupler/splitter. Each time reflected light, corresponding to the inspection light, from one or more optical fiber lines is received, an output representing the intensity level of the reflected light is sent from a light receiver to an arithmetic circuit and stored in the arithmetic circuit. The arithmetic circuit calculates the reflected light intensity levels which correspond to the individual optical fiber lines according to the light receiver outputs which individually correspond to inspection light rays, whereby the position of the failure in the optical fiber line incurring the failure is identified.
